HEY!

Welcome to the website! Got a new song for you today.

I promised a couple of people that I would make this available as a free download today. Some really sweet and beautiful people who have suffered losses recently in their lives. I just wrote this song this past week and spent hours and hours in the headphones, writing and recording it.

But... a song is never finished. It just has to stop in a good place. I think this one is at a Good place. Click on the link to listen to it or download it. (Feel free to pass this web address to any friends you think might get something out of this song, too.)

Here Today

I had very full and interesting day yesterday. Actually, a very full and interesting week. Actually, I live a very full and interesting Life.

First, gotta start off today by saying... um... Go Giants!

Next up...

Here's a chance for you to reserve some seats for "The 8 Year Concert" coming up on Saturday night, January 24th.

Yesterday I got together with a whole bunch of people at a new friend's house for a kind of a workshop session, to kick around a whole bunch of the songs that I'll probably be retiring at that gig. We had a blast. It was fun pulling these songs out of the attic and it's gonna be fun to run 'em by you guys again.... some of them for the last time.

Seriously... last night, a room filled with cool people, a guitar on my shoulder, some food, a little wine, (Iced coffee for me!) ...and a good, good reason to get together. Doesn't really get any better than that. The night was hosted by Kara. (From the Hill and the G.I.G. Foundation)

Very cool.

The tickets started moving on Friday for some reason. But, there are about 100 left, so go ahead and start making plans for that one. It's gonna be alotta fun and kind of a once in a lifetime thing for me. In celebration of the presidential inauguration... (Oh, who's kidding who!) In celebration of the fact that the most laughably disgraceful, inept, unAmerican and tragic administration in my lifetime is leaving the building.

It's gonna be fun!

Gotta remind everybody, though. The concert we did in December was at Merkin Concert Hall. There are 450 seats in Merkin Hall.

This gig is gonna be at H.I. New York Performance Hall on Amsterdam Ave. It's a more intimate space... and seats 150. (So, you might wanna think about calling some friends and reserving seats soon.)

Okay... have at it! Grab some seats! Here's the banner.

Click on this banner to put your name on the list at the door.

OR...

You can just show up that night with a $20 bill. I'll let you know if it's lookin' like a sell-out as it gets closer, okay?

Okay... I'm outta here. But, beofre I go I should tell you that I just might be able to make an official announcement at "The 8 Year Concert" about the next concert at Merkin Concert Hall.

Oh yeah, and did I tell you guys... the gig on the 24th is general admission... first come first serve. The concert starts at 7:30 but the house will open at 7:00. And there are no physical tickets. The PayPal thing puts your name in the list at the door.

Cool?

Okay...

I'm outta here.

I'll be back tomorrow.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
