Oh man! We're heading back to Merkin Concert Hall!
It's the "Return to Merkin Hall"
But, I'll get into that in a minute. I think I'm gonna be able to announce this week when the tickets are going on sale for that gig.
But first, gotta say.... welcome to the website. If you missed "The 8 Year Concert" here in New York this past Saturday night, you missed a really good time. I mean it. I hafta thank every single person who showed up for that gig. Like many artists, I feed off the energy in any particular room. And, the energy and fun and camaraderie with which those sweet people filled that hall was a kick! We laughed as much as we sang. And it was the first night of shooting for the film that Emmy Award winning filmmaker, Dean Love, is shooting this year. (He's gonna shoot the gig at Merkin too in February, and he'll probably be following all of you out to "The Hill" this coming summer!)
Oh, oh, oh...
And y'know that song I sang Saturday about Bill O'Reilly? The one that had the whole room laughing at.... um... Bill O'Reilly?
Well, HA! Yesterday I made a very brief little video which explains why a guy like me spends any time at all writing songs about silly, little people like him.

Okay...
If you're in New York City and you're not doing anything between 7:00 and 9:00 tonight... come and hang out at the SGA Songwriter's Circle at The Red Lion in the Village. (Bleecker & Thompson)
It's one of New York's cool little secrets. I get to share the stage for 2 hours with some of the coolest songwriter's in this town. It's always a good hang and.... it's FREE.
THE RETURN TO MERKIN HALL
Keep checking back this week and I'll let you know the minute the tickets are on sale through the Merkin Hall box office.
Gonna be back on stage with "the boys"... (George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, David Marcus and Chris Tedesco) ...and maybe one or two surprise guests!
Gonna be great! I'm already lookin' forward to it.
Okay... see you back here tomorrow.
Thanks for everything.
All outdoor events are weather permitting! Stop by the website before you go if it is questionable.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
