Welcome to the website...

"You may say I'm a dreamer... but, I'm not the only one"
- John Lennon

If you're new here, and you're reading this in a different part of the country... WELCOME!

If you're checkin' in here from a different part of the world, welcome AND... okay, sorry about the last 8 years. But, we did good yesterday.

Yes we did.

"You may say I'm a dreamer... but, I'm not the only one"

And, if you're a regular around here and you're gonna be in town this coming weekend, we're gonna have some fun this coming Saturday night! I mean, we're really gonna have a good time. It's he next indoor concert. But, this one is gonna be really cool... really loose... really different... and a once in a lifetime thing. It's "The 8 Year Concert" and it's gonna be something special.

But first!

Did you guys see Dick Cheney, the Prince of Evil, in that wheelchair yesterday.

... I'm SURE I'm not the only one.

Okay!!!

Let's have fun!!!! In fact, I'm gonna celebrate all week... and wrapping up the week and a long 8 years with "The 8 Year Concert" !!!

We're gonna have a blast! This coming Saturday night!

Hope you can be a part of it! Don't get sold outta this one!

Saturday night, we're all gonna head to H.I. New York Performance Hall to help me retire a whole bunch of songs that I've written over the past 8 years... songs that I don't EVER wanna hafta sing again!!!

It's The 8 Year Concert

By the way... this gig is only $20 and H.I.N.Y is reeealllly easy to get to. It's on Amsterdam Ave at 103rd Street. The #1 train stops a half block away at 103 & Broadway. And both the B & C trains stop at 103rd and Central Park West.

We're gonna have a blast! I wanted to do something to celebrate this presidential inauguration tomorrow... AND have a reason to hang with all of you again in the middle of the winter. I also wanna retire a whole bunch of songs I've been inspired and compelled to write over the past 8 years.

So!

Next Saturday night, January 24th, we'll all get together and sing a bunch of those songs one last time and retire them forever! We'll sing other stuff, too. It'll be a blast. But, I wanna get everybody who senses Hope and Possibility in a room so we can feel this release together!

AND, I THINK I'LL HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF SPECIAL EDITION CDs FOR ONLY $10 THAT YOU GUYS CAN BUY IF YOU WANT TO - COMMEMORATE THIS ONE TIME GIG!!!

It's general admission... first come first serve. The concert starts at 7:30 but the house will open at 7:00.

Cool?

Okay... have at it! Grab some seats! Here's the banner.

Click on this banner to put your name on the list at the door.

OR...

You can just show up that night with a $20 bill. I'll let you know if it's lookin' like a sell-out as it gets closer, okay?

Ah.... yes we did.

Now, it's time to get to work.

If you're new around here, take a few minutes to it the ARCHIVE and browse through the site. There are lots of really fun Photoshop images, FREE songs to download, all kindsa stuff.

Hey, shoot me an email and let me know how you feel about the first full day without George W. Bush and Dick Cheney in The White House representing you to the world.

See you back here tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
