Welcome back to the website.

Hope you guys had a wonderful week, no matter what you were doing. I wound up having a very sweet day on Thursday with ALL of my sisters in one place. (I've got 4, y'know.)

Now, it's back to the music... the "possibility"... the new Creative projects that are on the horizon... the "kickin' up a little shit once in a while"... the fun.

Y'know, the rain here in New York City washed away the snow for now. And "The Hill" in Central Park where I play is lookin' kinda cold and lonely. (Looks just a little bit different in the summer when I'm out there playing and we're all hangin' out together, sharing music and laughs.)

.
Looks a little different, hah?

It's okay. It's all cool. We'll be getting together very soon... indoors... for a couple of really cool events.

The first one is comin' up in January.

THE 8 YEAR CONCERT

I wanted to do something to celebrate this presidential inauguration on January 20th... AND have a concert to retire so many of the songs I'd felt compelled to write over the past 8 years of this national nightmare.

So!

On Saturday night, January 24th, we'll all get together in H.I. New York Performance Hall and sing a bunch of those songs one last time and retire them forever!

We'll sing other stuff, too. It'll be a blast. But, I wanna get everybody who senses Hope and Possibility in a room so we can feel this release together! (Then, of course, we have a LOT more work to do!)

.
H.I. New York Performance Hall - 891 Amsterdam Ave @ 103 Street

Now!

If you were at the "Year-End Concert" in Merkin Concert Hall, you know what kind of kick these things are. BUT, Merkin Concert Hall seats 450. In H.I.N.Y. Performance Hall there are only 150 seats. So, it's a lot more intimate and the way it works is this.

You click on the banner to reserve your seats right now, today, 24 hours a day. There are no actual, physical tickets. You just reserve as many seats as you need and your name will be put on the guest list at the door, okay? Whoever comes with you will also be under your name. For example:

Hedleston, Jim - 2
Marino, James - 2
Von Trapp, Maria - 8

That kinda thing.

It's general admission... first come first serve. The concert starts at 7:30 but the house will open at 7:00.

Cool?

Okay... have at it! Grab some seats! Here's the banner.

Click on this banner to put your name on the list at the door.

OR...

You can just show up that night with a $20 bill. I'll let you know if it's lookin' like a sell-out as it gets closer, okay?

Um.... if you're new around here, take a few minutes to it the ARCHIVE and browse through the site. There are lots of really fun Photoshop images, FREE songs to download, all kindsa stuff.

Stuff like this!

Hey... Thanks for a great year in 2008.

I really am the luckiest man alive.

.

See you tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
