Welcome to the website.

I'VE GOT AN UPDATE ON THE TICKET AVAILABILITY FOR THE DECEMBER CONCERT IN 2 WEEKS. (Further down the page.)

I wanna say "Hey" to all of you checkin' in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world.

But, today I really wanna talk to anyone who's here in New York City, or will be in two weekends.

Here in The States we watched the stock market plunge again yesterday... 679 points. And after 8 years of the worst presidency in my lifetime, (maybe ever) and a bizarre year that saw some really odd stuff go down that seems to defy logic... we're living in a very confusing time in so many ways. So, I have a very pertinent question for today.

Are you worried?

If you are...

...I have one suggestion.

(And yeah, this is actually a good thing for me... but I honestly think it'll be a good thing for you, too.)

Now - if you're worried or a little down, normally I'd suggest that you head out to Central Park this weekend to hang out with me and a few hundred of my closest friends to share some music and laughs. But, y'know... that's a seasonal phenomenon and the summer's long gone.

BUT!

We are gonna move that "It's Just Us" feeling indoors in just two weekends.

Yeah. Yeah, money is tight. For guys like me... Ha! Money is always tight. So, maybe I'm just used to it and that's why I'm never worried! Still, gimme a break. Do something good for yourself. Call a few friends and make December 13th a night out. Make it a "thing" to close out 2008. Like I always say, these year-end concerts are a great way to "kick the year in the ass as it heads out the door".

Go ahead. Do it.

So, here's the number for the box office!

(212) 501-3330

Or, if you wanna grab your tickets online right now... click on this banner.

If this helps at all, here's a seating chart for Merkin Hall. (The stage is actually designed for orchestral stuff. So, it's very wide. That just means the entire house is really very near the stage... very intimate. And the place sounds great! Not a bad seat anywhere in that room.)

BTW - pay attention to that dotted line. See? The balcony is like right near the stage!

Anyway, my estimate was correct yesterday. There are almost exactly 200 tickets left. Now, we're still about 2 weeks out from the gig. But you might wanna start thinking about grabbing some to make absolutely sure you don't get sold-out.

Cool?

Y'know, you might even wanna consider just coming by yourself. The vibe is pretty much the same as it is at "The Hill" in Central Park. So you know it's cool to come to something like this by yourself and be surrounded by the same cool people that you hang with all summer. Probably even look around and see a lot of the same faces.

Y'know?

If you're new around here... I've had a lot of fun with Photoshop during the past election year. Here's an update that contained a SUPER BIG PHOTOSHOP GALLERY!

AND, I very often like to make a few songs available as FREE downloads. Here are a few more...

CRAZY ON THE SAME DAY
WHERE'S THE VOICE
TOM CRUISE SCARES ME
THE RELIGION SONG
THROUGH MY NOSE

Oh, one more...

BILL O'REILLY: THE LEGEND OF THE BIG GIANT HEAD

Okay, I'm outta here.

Hope I see YOU on December 13th!

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
