Well, I played a pretty sweet, little gig last night at H.I.N.Y. on Amsterdam Ave. Met some really cool people. Promised Priscilla and Adam that I'd make a couple of songs available for a free download today. So, here they are.

Wedding in Danville

This Moment

And just for the hell of it, here's something that rocks a little more. It's a song we might all sing at the gig a week from this Saturday. (Learn the hook!)

JUST HAFTA TRUST ME

(As of now, "This Moment" is only a very rough demo. But, the song gets to the heart of the matter.)

Anyway... Hey! So, you guys know me.

I'm almost always makin' it up as I go along... musically and in Life.

I mean, that's how the whole thing got started in Central Park all those years ago.

And, I like to feel pretty much the same way when I'm on stage indoors, too. But today, I'm gonna get all the boys in one room for the first time to kick around some songs and ideas for "The Something-th Annual Year End Concert" in one week. (Yeah! It's one week from tomorrow night. Did you get your tickets yet!?)

Get them today!!! (Further down the page.)

Anyway...

I say I'm "gonna get all the boys in one room" because I just found out that the lovely and talented Janet Kirker had to drop out of the gig. There's something else she's just gotta next weekend do for her career, and I'm 100% behind her decision. And my pal, Chrisitne Lavin, is playing a gig out of town. (She's always on the road someplace!)

So... today and next Saturday night, it looks like a bunch of men just foolin' around and makin' music on the stage at Merkin Hall. Gonna get 'em all together for the first time today.

David Marcus isn't pictured on the front porch. But, he'll be at rehearsal today, too.

Click on this banner to order tickets online.

I posted a seating chart in Tuesday's update if you need to take a look.

Okay, I'm outta here. I'll be back tomorrow.

If you're new around here... I've had a lot of fun with Photoshop during the past election year. Here's an update that contained a SUPER BIG PHOTOSHOP GALLERY!

Oh, okay. One more song... love that this song has gotten all around the internet. Me? I went to high school on Long Island, and I don't know if I should suspect that there was something wrong with the water in his town. I hope that assholes like Bill O'Reilly are an aberration.

BILL O'REILLY: THE LEGEND OF THE BIG GIANT HEAD

Hope I see YOU on December 13th!

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
