Welcome to the website... all you New Yorkers and all you guys from across the country and around the world. Thanks to each of you for sharing even one afternoon with me at "The Hill".
TODAY... I'VE GOT A QUESTION ABOUT THE UPCOMING CONCERT. And, I'd like your opinion. Basically because... um... I'm getting some flack about something and I'd like you guys to make up my mind!
First, let's start out with something else.
Y'know... I wrote a song called "Crazy on the Same Day".
In fact if you haven't heard that song... or if you have heard it and you like that song... here it is for a quick listen, or a FREE download:
Crazy on the Same Day
It's an amazing thing to hear a whole hill-full of people who don't even know each other singin' that song together on a beautiful summer afternoon in Central Park.

But TODAY, besides letting any newcomers know about "The Something-th Annual Year End Concert" that's comin' up in less than 2 weeks, I wanna talk a little bit about...
Crazy!
2008 was an election year.
Thank Goodness it turned out the way it did. (I really didn't wanna leave New York to go live on some French island for 4 years, but I might have!) Still, on our way to that historic triumph of Reason, we reached a level of insanity and absurdity the likes of which you'd think you couldn't even make up.
Well, here we are again.
2 days ago Joe (the fucking) Plumber released... oh, man I can't even say it! He released a book! Holy shit! The publisher says it will "address Mr. Wurzelbacher's ideas about American values." Can you even imagine!? Oh well, who knows? I guess everybody's got something to say. Maybe the guy has some deep, thoughtful insights about Life.
But, I'm guessing.... probably not-so-much.
Now remember - this shallow, ill-informed phony was thrust upon the national scene by John McCain in August of this year. By December 1... HE'S WRITTEN AND RELEASED A BOOK!?
You'll probably see it on shelves in book stores just in time for Christmas. (Well, maybe not here in New York City. But, a lot of you will see it.) Still... I thought I might take a minute to design the cover the way it should look.

Crazy.
Unbelievable.
Okay... moving on.
HERE'S THE QUESTION!
For "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" in two weekends.
Beard or no beard!
.
Now, you don't hafta get all wordy about this. Just send a quick email and let me know if we're goin' for the... Ha! "Mountain man" look to close out the year!
CLICK ON THIS LINK if you feel like it and let me know!
I don't care either way, so I'll leave it up to you guys. I'll post the question again tomorrow, and then you guys can show up at the gig to see the result.
Cool?
We're all gonna be singing together again in about 10 days. Kinda cool, hah?
I checked with the box office on Monday and they said there are about 200 seats left. That's plenty! We're only 10 days out from the gig, so you might wanna think about giving the Merkin box office a call right now...
(212) 501-3330
The box office is open between noon and 7:00 today.
OR, go ahead an order them online right now.

If this helps at all, here's a seating chart for Merkin Hall. (The stage is actually designed for orchestral stuff. So, it's very wide. That just means the entire house is really very near the stage... very intimate. And the place sounds great! Not a bad seat anywhere in that room.)

BTW - pay attention to that dotted line. See? The balcony is like right near the stage!
Anyway, my estimate was correct yesterday. There are almost exactly 200 tickets left. Now, we're still about 2 weeks out from the gig. But you might wanna start thinking about grabbing some to make absolutely sure you don't get sold-out.
Cool?
Y'know, you might even wanna consider just coming by yourself. The vibe is pretty much the same as it is at "The Hill" in Central Park. So you know it's cool to come to something like this by yourself and be surrounded by the same cool people that you hang with all summer. Probably even look around and see a lot of the same faces.

Y'know?
If you're new around here... I've had a lot of fun with Photoshop during the past election year. Here's an update that contained a SUPER BIG PHOTOSHOP GALLERY!
AND, I very often like to make a few songs available as FREE downloads. Here are a few more...
