Okay... I've kinda flipped the sign on this year. Flipped the sign to "closed". Yeah, yeah I know I said it a couple of weeks ago.
Ah, who am I kidding!
I've learned that when you truly do what you love with your life and with your work, then every day is a vacation day... and every day is a work day. But y'know... I guess we are winding up another year.
2008 has been a wild, emotional ride for me. I hope I've learned at least one or two important things during this most recent trip around the Sun. And, Summer '08 was just another typically amazing chapter in my life as "That Guitar Man from Central Park"

Thank you
I wana share this song with you guys today. It's the title track from my CD called "Common Ground".
The original photograph from this image is kinda what inspired the final verse of the song. Just click on it to listen to the song. Download it for FREE if you want.
"Silent, sky-blue island... spinning in space."

CLICK ON THE EARTH - A little perspective for the new year.
Y'know?
With the help of some extraordinary people, I think I'm gonna really be able to break up the winter for all of us. Have a little fun. Schedule a few really fun concerts together... maybe one every month. We'll hafta see how it goes and how many of you wanna show up, and how many of you wanna bring friends with you.
Like I mean... we had a blast at "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" a few weeks ago. You guys feel like doing a few more of those?
Here's what I have in mind. Maybe another night at Merkin Concert Hall at the end of February or the first week of March! What d'you think!?
But first... I wanna to do something to celebrate this presidential inauguration early next year... AND have a concert to retire so many of the songs I'd felt compelled to write over the past 8 years of this national nightmare.
So!
On Saturday night, January 24th, less than a month from now we'll all get together in H.I. New York Performance Hall and sing a bunch of those songs one last time and retire them forever!
We'll sing other stuff, too. It'll be a blast. But, I wanna get everybody who senses Hope and Possibility in a room so we can feel this release together! (After that, of course, we have a LOT more work to do!)

Now!
If you were at the "Year-End Concert" in Merkin Concert Hall, you know what kind of kick these things are. BUT, Merkin Concert Hall seats 450. In H.I.N.Y. Performance Hall there are only 150 seats. So, it's a lot more intimate and the way it works is this.
You click on the banner to reserve your seats right now, today, 24 hours a day. There are no actual, physical tickets. You just reserve as many seats as you need and your name will be put on the guest list at the door, okay? Whoever comes with you will also be under your name. For example:
Hedleston, Jim - 2
Marino, James - 2
Dalmation, family - 101
That kinda thing.
All the seats are $20. It's general admission... first come first serve. The concert starts at 7:30 but the house will open at 7:00.
Cool?
Okay... have at it! Grab some seats! Click on the banner.

Click on this banner to put your name on the list at the door.
OR...
You can just show up that night with a $20 bill. I'll let you know if it's lookin' like a sell-out as it gets closer, okay?
Um.... if you're new around here, take a few minutes to it the ARCHIVE and browse through the site. There are lots of really fun Photoshop images, FREE songs to download, all kindsa stuff.
Stuff like this!
