Oh man!

Very cool!

"The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is just 2 days away... this Saturday night! We've always got people coming into town from all over for this thing... Buffalo, NY - Pennsylvania - Maryland - North Carolina. But I received this email last night!

Hey David,
I will come all the way from Germany to see your show! So it is better going to be a blast...;)
CU Saturday!

Bjoern

.

Yikes!

Didja get your tickets yet? (More about that in a minute.)

But first a little follow-up on yesterday's update and the news this week that Illinois governor Rod Blogoj... Blag... blagoy... bluh... bluhg... DAMN!... (The guy with the "Potsie" haircut)

A whole lotta people have been making a big fuss that this asshole was trying to sell Barack Obama's Senate seat. The criminal complaint filed this week claims he was trying to get an awful lotta money for this seat. He wanted contributions or a high-paying job, or flat out cash.

Selling a Senate seat! Now... I'm not sayin' it's right. But I kinda understand.

Have you seen this seat!?

BARACK OBAMA'S SENATE SEAT

That's one fancy senate seat!

Moving on!

Earlier this week I said I was gonna write a kind of an editorial piece about some of the silly people who feel the need to send me negative emails about... what amounts to ill-informed nonsense. But, I'm feelin' too good about the concert coming up this weekend. So, I'm gonna let it go for now!

Yesterday, I got together with fiddle player Chris Tedesco to kick around a few ideas and a few songs for the concert this weekend.

This gig's gonna be fun. I mean, I can tell already. Just foolin' around with some of the musicians that are gonna share the stage with me.... you can just get a feeling about these things.

But more than anything else, I can't wait to send 2008 out the door with all of you.

Are you gonna be joining me at Merkin Hall this coming weekend?

I know there are a lot of you reading this in different cities and in different parts of the world. But, if you're gonna be here in town this Saturday night, I hope you wanna be a part of "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert".

Okay, let me give you a couple of ways to get your tickets right now. AND...

If this helps at all, here's a seating chart for Merkin Hall. (The stage is actually designed for orchestral stuff. So, it's very wide. That just means the entire house is really very near the stage... very intimate. And the place sounds great! Not a bad seat anywhere in that room.)

Click for a larger image.

BTW - pay attention to that dotted line. See? The balcony is like right near the stage!

Here are 2 ways to grab some seats right now.

Here's the number for the box office! They're open today after 12 noon.

Yeah. Yeah, money is tight. For guys like me... Ha! Money is always tight. So, maybe I'm just used to it and that's why I'm never worried! Still, gimme a break. Do something good for yourself. Call a few friends and make December 13th a night out. Make it a "thing" to close out 2008. Like I always say, these year-end concerts are a great way to "kick the year in the ass as it heads out the door".

Y'know, you might even wanna consider just coming by yourself. The vibe is pretty much the same as it is at "The Hill" in Central Park. So you know it's cool to come to something like this by yourself and be surrounded by the same cool people that you hang with all summer. Probably even look around and see a lot of the same faces.

If you're new around here... I've had a lot of fun with Photoshop during the past election year. Here's an update that contained a SUPER BIG PHOTOSHOP GALLERY!

AND, I very often like to make a few songs available as FREE downloads. Here are a few more...

CRAZY ON THE SAME DAY
TOM CRUISE SCARES ME
THE RELIGION SONG
THROUGH MY NOSE

Oh, one more...

BILL O'REILLY: THE LEGEND OF THE BIG GIANT HEAD

Okay, I'm outta here.

Hope I see you... SATURDAY NIGHT!

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
