Welcome to the website.

I'll be back tomorrow with a special update about the past year... about the people in my life and in my audience for whom I'm so, so grateful. Oddly enough... ha! It's inspired by a few really negative emails I've received recently that, I suppose, were intended to hurt or disturb me. (They don't, really. Those kinds of things just kick me "up" the stairs... into a better place!)

Wanna say "Hey" to all of you in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. If you've ever shared even one afternoon with me in Central Park....

...THANKS!

And, I'd like to acknowledge that this is the day we lost a beautiful artists and songwriter.... a man who I feel would have continued to be a major force for Good and Peace as he evolved. (But, the Universe had a different plan, I guess.)

Part II is also on YouTube.

Thanks John

Here in New York City, it's cold. (But, y'know... it's winter and that's it's job!)

This week, we're in the countdown to "The Something-th Annual Year End Concert". When this concert rolls around every year I wait for 2 things to happen inside me. The first is I wait for the "Switch to Flip". By that I mean, there's a little switch inside me that flips from concert "preparation" to "anticipation". That switch has FLIPPED!!! Now, I'm just jazzed!

(Yeah, y'know... you guys know me. You know how I pretty much like to make things up as I go along. But when you're working and living as a fiercely independent artist, these events don't happen by themselves. It takes a lot to put these things on their feet. That's why I'm so, so, so grateful for the Good, Good, beautiful people in my Life who help out and support me in all the endeavors. Couldn't do this stuff without them. James Marino, the webmaster and evil genius who runs this site; George Wurzbach who's gonna join me on stage again this year; Ryan, David, Chris.)

(But, when the concert gets close, it's just.... wahoo! Here we go!)

DON'T GET SOLD OUT OF THIS ONE!!!!

I'm not sure right now that it's gonna be a sell-out. But, it's gonna be close. So you can take your chances and just show up that night. Or, you can call the box office today!

(212) 501-3330

Or, you can just grab them online right now! I'm gonna head down to the box office tomorrow to find out exactly how many seats are left. At last report there were a little less than 150 tickets left. (Remember, there ain't a bad seat in that room. Even the balcony is right on top of the stage.)

Click on this banner to order tickets online.

I've already got the feeling this is gonna turn into one of those special nights...one of those nights when that hall is filled with amazing people and wonderful energy.

Man! I think we're all ready for it! It's gonna feel good.

Oh, and here's another idea!

If you're coming to the concert this Saturday night, get there a little early or plan to stay a few minutes after the show! there's a song that EVERYBODY has been asking me for. It's a song that I'm gonna be doing in the concert called "This Moment". (It's not on any of my CDs yet.)

SO! I made a special edition CD just for the concert.... with "This Moment" and a bunch of other songs. There are even a few songs from the now out-of-print Christmas album. ("Just a Thought for Christmas")

So, bring some extra cash. If you buy any of the other CDs for gifts or for yourself, you can take that special CD for FREE! Or, you can buy that CD for only $10 on it's own.

Cool? (And... ha! The thing about giving CDs is that they're so damned easy to gift wrap!)

Now, for the gig... if this helps at all, here's a seating chart for Merkin Hall. See? The stage is actually designed for orchestral stuff. So, it's very wide. That just means the entire house is really very near the stage... very intimate. And the place sounds great! Not a bad seat anywhere in that room.

BTW - pay attention to that dotted line. See? The balcony is like right near the stage!

Oh listen... TODAY'S FREE SONG DOWNLOAD is a song that I might have started writing when I was about 12 years old. (A little odd to be playing this song around so many holidays. But, I have a strong feeling Santa Claus wouldn't mind!)

The Religion Song

Alright, I'm outta here. If you're new around here... I've had a lot of fun with Photoshop during the past election year. Here's an update that contained a SUPER BIG PHOTOSHOP GALLERY!

Oh, okay. One more song to download for FREE.

This one was actually recorded at a "Something-th Annual Concert" in Merkin Concert Hall back in 2000.

LOVE THIS LIFE I'M LIVIN'

Hope I see YOU on December 13th!

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
