Hey! Welcome to Saturday!

What! Problem?

Yes... yes... I know. I suppose you've seen it.

Sarah Palin and Joe that damned Plumber... back in the news.

HA! Just when you think those people can't get any weirder.

They do.

Just when you wish they would reeeeaallllyyy just go away, they don't!

We truly live in Bizarro-World.

.

(I'll get to all of this in a minute, further down the page.)

.

FIRST... it's Saturday. And on Saturday afternoon when the weather is warm, I'm out in Central Park with a few thousand of my closest friends, just hangin' out sharing music and laughs in the middle of the greatest city in the world.

I miss you guys. BUT - hopefully I will see you soon in Merkin Concert Hall for "The Something-th Annual Year End Concert".

Y'know? There isn't a bad seat in that great music venue. There really isn't! That's one of the things that makes it so unique. But, I just checked with the box office and there are exactly 250 seats left. We're 3 weeks out from the show. But, you might wanna start thinking about calling a few friends if you wanna make a night of it. Y'know, dinner in the area, or drinks after the concert.

Then, go ahead and get your tickets reserved.

The box office is closed today, but open from noon to 7:00 tomorrow. (Sunday)

(212) 501-3330

Or, you can go ahead and grab them RIGHT NOW online!

Y'know? You might even wanna consider just coming by yourself. The vibe is pretty much the same as it is at "The Hill" in Central Park. So you know it's cool to come to something like this by yourself and be surrounded by the same cool people that you hang with all summer. Probably even look around and see a lot of the same faces.

Very cool.

Well, moving on.

Y'know, I get buried in email every week and I love it. But, someone from "The Hill" in Central Park emailed me yesterday about Joe the Plumber.... to inform me that not only has this mid-western moron signed a book deal... but, that the book is due to be published... get this... on December 1.

Ha!

This has GOT to be a well-thought out, insightful, serious work of prose if it will actually be published 2 weeks before we even get to Merkin Hall on December 13th! Yeah, Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, the Ohio idiot who became a celebrity in the last weeks of the election, has signed a book deal with small, Texas-based publisher PearlGate Publishing. It's gonna be called, "Joe the Plumber: Fighting for the American Dream".

Holy shit! The publisher says it will "address Mr. Wurzelbacher's ideas about American values." Can you even imagine!? Oh well, who knows? I guess everybody's got something to say. Maybe the guy has some deep, thoughtful insights about Life.

But, I'm guessing.... probably not-so-much. Maybe... um... maybe... hey, I have an idea!

Okay...

Speaking of Sarah Palin!

I guess you saw this. But, I hafta post it in case anybody missed it.

Listen, I love eating turkey. And, I'm a grownup... I actually know how a turkey gets to my dinner plate. But, this little press interview is so damned funny, because I defy anyone to watch this video and tell me that they are not enthralled with the poor shnook slaughtering the turkeys behind her! It cracks me up! Watching him wrestle with BOTH the doomed birds, and the impropriety of chopping their heads off on live television is hysterical to the point it makes Governor Palin sound like Charlie Brown's teacher!

Bwah - bwah - bwah - bwah - bwah - bwah - bwah - bwah - bwah!

Listening to her babble the same giggly, smiley, vacuous crap we've been hearing for months while a blood soaked man is killing fowl behind her is too funny. What a silly little person she is! When you actually tune back into what she's saying it gets more ridiculous.

And, John McCain wanted to put her in The White House! Can you imagine! And.... people actually voted Republican this year!!!

Ha!

Bizzarro-World.

Okay, enough fun for one day. I'll be back tomorrow. Maybe with a new Photoshop image or a new FREE download.

See you back here tomorrow, and I hope I see you on December 13th!

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
