Well, last week saw some more really weird stuff in the news. (Maybe we'll get into that in a minute.)

But, it's a new week. Got some new stuff here at the site today. And, here we are beginning another Thanksgiving week. Welcome to the website, all you New Yorkers and all of you across the country.

For those of you reading this in different parts of the world, those of you who've hung out with me in Central Park...

...Thanksgiving is a very cool holiday here in The States. For one thing, it is one of those uniquely American holidays. But, it's also a holiday that is not specific to a religion. That's cool for me. (After all, I'm the guy who wrote The Religion Song.)

It's also the unofficial kick-off of the holiday season. Starts off with The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. (I understand there's a brand new balloon in this year's parade. I mean, I don't know what to say... I'm so jazzed! Whose idea was this!!!)

(That's just a little creepy, isn't it!?)

ANYWAY - it also means... "THE SOMETHING-TH ANNUAL YEAR END CONCERT" is only 3 weeks away!

Hey! Before we really get into today's update, maybe you'll wanna go ahead and grab your tickets for the concert.

You can go ahead and grab them RIGHT NOW online!

Click on this banner to order tickets online.

Or, you can call the box office directly. They're open today from noon until 7:00

(212) 501-3330

Y'know? You can call a bunch of friends and make a night of it. Kinda get together for the holidays that day and then make this gig icing on the cake. Or you might even wanna consider just coming by yourself. The vibe is pretty much the same as it is at "The Hill" in Central Park. So you know it's cool to come to something like this by yourself and be surrounded by the same cool people that you hang with all summer. Probably even look around and see a lot of the same faces.

But, it's gonna be a blast. At these things we often laugh as much as we sing. And I'm gonna have some really special people share the stage with me.

Speaking of laughing and sharing the stage...

Y'know, after Sarah Palin showed up in the news.... again... holding that vacuous, bullshit news-interview while that guy behind her was slaughtering turkeys. Sure, it was surreal. It was bizarre. Well, in case you missed it, here. Have a laugh. (Because it also has to do with the concert in December.)

Then, click on this link to visit the update in which I went into more detail about this bizarre event!

But in a characteristic that is typical to me... I wanted to find out the name of that guy behind her - the poor guy wrestling with BOTH the turkey and the impropriety of killing fowl on television. But, the only thing that kept coming up in the search were the words "that guy behind her."

Then I got really lucky and was able to contact him. Y'see... you guys know that at my concerts I always want to do something very special and a little bit different. And so, this year I'm gonna make that guy behind her...

...that guy behind me.

It's gonna be fun.

Okay... I'm outta here!

Today, I've gotta get to work on a brand new song. And then later tonight I'm gonna sit in at the SGA Songwriters Circle at The Red Lion form 7:00 to 9:00. (If you've never been to one of these things you oughta come down tonight. They're pretty fun and they're FREE.)

I'll be back tomorrow with an all new update.

Hope I see you guys at the concert in 3 weeks. Last I heard there were about 250 seats left. I'll check again this week.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
