Did you set the clocks back last night?

That's cool.

Most of America, not all, but most people in America set their clocks back one hour last night.

Um... just remember. We don't want to see two people elected this Tuesday who would set the clocks back even further.

.

.

I'm not kidding! Ha! I wonder when the term "secular-progressive" became a bad word to many people in this country. The founders of this nation were "secular" for the most part and believed stalwartly that our government should be secular as well... and they were certainly "progressive". Hell! They were revolutionary!

Moving on.

Hey! My admiration and best wishes go out to every one of you nutjobs running in the NYC Marathon today!

No, not a real photo!

I actually ran one marathon on my lifetime. Don't believe I'll ever do one again. I trained, ran it and did the best I possibly could, coming across the finish line in just under 3:15. (Of course, I was like 25 years old!)

Now.... I figure instead of running 26.2 miles, the next marathon I do will be a "dozing" marathon. Y'know, maybe see if I can sleep for 26.2 hours without stopping. It'll take some training. I'll probably start by dozing for 8 to 10 hours and work my way up before trying the whole 26.

ACTUALLY!

Y'might consider what I do in Central Park every Saturday a marathon of sorts. I mean, over the years I've strapped my guitar on at 12:30 in the afternoon and taken it off my shoulder at 6:45.

Yeah, that's kind of a marathon, I guess.

And, some artists might consider my indoor concerts marathons. But, we always have such a good time... they fly! They really do!

We've got "The Something-th Annual Year End Concert" coming up in December. I'm really lookin' forward to it. Y'know, it's a little less than 6 weeks away. But, you might wanna think about getting some friends together, making some plans and grabbing tickets this week.

Click on this banner to order tickets online.

Or you can call the box office directly today at:

(212) 501-3330

Now, there are 450 seats in Merkin Concert Hall and the gig is about 6 weeks away. But, I checked on Friday and over 100 seats are already gone. (I'm sure that was nothing more than an initial rush for tickets.) But, just to make sure... don't wait too long before you call a few friends and make plans to make a night of it. You're not gonna wanna miss this one!

And, yeah... the box office is open today.

This week is gonna be fun around here at the website, too.

Tomorrow I'll follow the final day of the campaign that started about a million weeks ago, and follow that with a very special update on Tuesday.

For now... hey, maybe today we oughta a look back at some of the crazy shit that's gone on this year - - a little retrospective look back. (Wait! Can you possibly have a retrospective look forward? I think not!)

WHEW!!!!

Okay, that's enough for one day!

Remember to call a few friends for the upcoming concert at MERKIN CONCERT HALL!

Saturday Night
December 13th
7:30

Okay, one more thing.

I guess most of you know how passionately I feel about music... and about Truth and Reason. And, you most of you know how I feel about the beautiful idea that is the United States of America. And, I guess if you listen to my music and "get" my lyrics, you know how I feel about Life and Love. And... and... and a lot of you know that I'm single again!

Well today, I've decided to combine my deep sense of patriotism with my own brand of insanity. (Only... y'know... because I care so deeply about the upcoming election.)

I've decided to start a new activist group!!!

And all you have to do to join is click on this banner, write a brief reason you're voting for Barack Obama.... and... oh yeah... attach a photo.

What can I say? I don't hang out in bars!

See!? Lost my mind!

(Oh relax!)

.

Okay, that's it for today.

Cool?

I'll be back tomorrow!!!

.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
