Well, it's "Get-Outta-Town Day" here in New York City.

Maybe it's that kinda day where you live, too. But, it's all leading up to Thanksgiving.
Seriously, this is one holiday I think everyone should be able to get their minds and their hearts around. This oughta be a special holiday update, 'cause this is one of my favorite holidays of all. It's a wonderful time to be with friends and family. And, if you can't be with your family... (or you don't even like your family very much) ...it's a great time to invent your own wonderful family. Either way, it's a great time of year.
I'm lucky to have beautiful friends and a family I love very much... both biological and extended. And, among the many, many, many people and things about which I get to fill my heart with gratitude, of course... thanks for allowing me to be "That Guitar Man from Central Park"!

And this is the beginning of the Thanksgiving Day Weekend.
Before anything else this weekend, you might wanna go ahead and get your tickets for "The Something-th Annual Year End Concert". (More about that further down the page.)
HEY! Do you guys remember when I was podcasting on a daily basis?
Y'know what I thought I'd do today as kind of a treat. I though I' d play an old podcast for you guys. It was the episode in which I played the entire original track of Arlo Guthrie's classic "Alice's Restaurant" in honor of the holiday.
Y'know? Listening to the podcast again after a year, I realize all that's gone by during our last lap around the Sun. And so, it brings back memories... some bittersweet, but mostly sweet.
So, after you get home from work today... (Or, while you're at work waiting for the boss to leave for the weekend.) ... make a cup of coffee, turn on your speakers or put on your headphones, sit back and enjoy.

Cool?

OKAY!
Now... onto another tradition. OUR OWN TRADITION!!!
"The Something-th Annual Year End Concert"
If you're gonna be lucky enough to be in town, let's look forward to all getting together in one big room and having a great time... loving the company, on December 13th.
Yep! Tradition time.
I don't know if you caught Monday's update, but I think today you might wanna go ahead and grab your tickets for the concert.
You can go ahead and grab them RIGHT NOW online!

Click on this banner to order tickets online.
Or, you can call the box office directly. They're open today from noon until 7:00
(212) 501-3330
Y'know? You can call a bunch of friends and make a night of it. Kinda get together for the holidays that day and then make this gig icing on the cake. Or you might even wanna consider just coming by yourself. The vibe is pretty much the same as it is at "The Hill" in Central Park. So you know it's cool to come to something like this by yourself and be surrounded by the same cool people that you hang with all summer. Probably even look around and see a lot of the same faces.

But, it's gonna be a blast. At these things we often laugh as much as we sing. And I'm gonna have some really special people share the stage with me.
Hope I see you guys at the concert in 2 and a half weeks. Last I heard there were about 250 seats left. I'll check again and update you guys... probably a little later today or tonight!
I know there are always people visiting here who have NO idea what I do!
So, I very often like to make a few songs available as FREE downloads. Here are a few more...
WHERE'S THE VOICE
CRAZY ON THE SAME DAY
LOST ON BLEECKER STREET
THE RELIGION SONG
Anyway... everybody, there's always a lot of cool stuff goin' on around here. I'm just makin' this shit up as I go along.. (Photoshop images, political cartoons, FREE songs to download.) I hope you keep stopping by here every day. And if you dig this kinda thing, I hope you turn a few friends onto it as well. (If you don't like this kinda thing... um.. uh... how the hell did you get all the way to the bottom of this page!?)
The rest of you... keep in touch.
If you're on the road and heading somewhere this weekend, have fun. Be cool to each other. Pay attention. Take it really easy. Be cool.
"Nice" is a big word. A good word.
So is "Thanks"
Thanks for everything.
