Okay!

One week from today everyone with any sense of Truth, Reason, Possibility and Hope is gonna go to the polls, they're gonna vote, they're gonna put an end to the darkest, most backward and fearful period in American history (or at least, in my lifetime) and... and... and whew! I'm gonna be able to get away from constantly writing and singing political shit!

Please, oh please, oh please vote!

THEN, I can get back to writing more songs about commonality, Life and Love.

And, won't that make for a fun concert in December!? Y'see, TODAY... it's official.

ALL the tickets are now on sale for
"The Something-th Annual Year End Concert".

But first, gotta welcome all of you who are showing up here for the first time. I actually took a quick look at the website stats and I see that toward the end of the summer in Central Park...

..and in the first few weeks of the Fall, a whole lot of you guys are showing up here for the first time. Many of you are from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. But, most of you are right here in New York City!

Listen, for all you first timers... HERE'S A LINK YOU MIGHT WANNA check out to kinda get an idea of what's been goin' on around here.

And, for all of you who plan to be in or around NYC during the second week of December, you're NOT gonna wanna miss (or get sold out of) the "Year End Concert". Due to completely unforeseen and very cool circumstances, we're gonna be back in Merkin Concert Hall.

ALL of the tickets are now on sale!!! Every seat in the orchestra this year is only $30 and we kept the entire balcony available at $20 a ticket! So... NO reason to get shut outta this one.

Call a few friends this week and plan to make a night of it. If you've been to these things, you know that we laugh as much as we sing sometimes.

Anyway, here.

There are two ways to grab tickets right now. You can click on this banner to order them online?

OR... you can call the box office directly between noon and 7pm

Listen you guys, don't put this man in the Oval Office...

So, I can stop singing songs like this:

And songs like this...

Y'know?

and get back to writing songs like these...

CITY SONG

I CAN'T WAIT

THE RELIGION SONG

LOVE THIS LIFE I'M LIVIN'

By the way.... that last song?

Recorded LIVE at Merkin Concert Hall in 2000 !!!

Now we're talkin'!

This summer was just one more great season out there at "The Hill" - - one more year that I got to be "That Guitar Man from Central Park".

Now, it's time to move it indoors.

But, before we do...

Click on this image for a farewell video.

I'll have a few more videos up here at the website for you guys to check out all week. If you're new here... CHECK BACK TOMORROW AND EVERY DAY THIS WEEK.

Besides those videos and the updates about the indoor concert, I'll leave you with one more thing to make you smile this week. (I'm officially losing my mind. You'll see.)

I guess most of you know how passionately I feel about music... and about Truth and Reason. And, you most of you know how I feel about the beautiful idea that is the United States of America. And, I guess if you listen to my music and "get" my lyrics, you know how I feel about Life and Love. And... and... and a lot of you know that I'm single again!

Well today, I've decided to combine my deep sense of patriotism with my own brand of insanity. (Only... y'know... because I care so deeply about the upcoming election.)

I've decided to start a new activist group!!!

And all you have to do to join is click on this banner, write a brief reason you're voting for Barack Obama.... and... oh yeah... attach a photo.

What can I say? I don't hang out in bars!

See!? Lost my mind!

(Oh relax!)

I'll be back tomorrow with some more stuff.

Cool?

.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
