Yep...

Let's make this an old-fashioned, black & white photo day.

I'm a lucky man. Thanks to all of you who took the time to send an email or share your thoughts a feelings around yesterday's update. It's like I always say in Central Park...

...it's just us!

Thanks.

By the way, earlier this week I shared a few photos that people sent in to the website from last Saturday afternoon. Today I wanna share something else that was put in my guitar case. At the end of the day was I was packing up to head home, after a long 5 and half hours of music... my buddy and fellow singer, David Marcus, came up to me with a sketch that someone had done and left in the case.

The artist signed it and it looks like his name is Brendan Winston, or Huston. Believe me (if you're reading this, Brendan.) it's gonna wind up in a frame.

Thanks!

I'm also an illustrator. (Did that for a living another Lifetime ago.) But, lately my new medium has become Photoshop. I'm havin' a blast with it. Y'know? I get a wild idea and then go searching the net for images I can use to Create something totally new to make a point with a wink and a smile... and the results are never exactly what I set out to do.

It's very cool.

Here's today's image.

"Y-y-you sit around here, spinnin' your webs! Gettin' your - your -your supporters to go out and say
'Barack HUSSEIN Obama' over and over again! Doggone it! Y'know, in-in-in the grand scheme of things,
you're nothin' but a scurvy, little spider.... Mr. John SIDNEY McCain III !"

And, here's the latest song parody and accompanying video.

(Listen, the more I see and hear Sarah Palin, the more I'm thinkin' even the most die-hard Republican ideologues have just GOT to be fucking embarrassed.)

Then again, anyone who can't admit that the last 8 years have seen the worst administration in our lifetime, and that the war in Iraq was a colossal mistake at best or a calculated illegal act of aggression at worst... well, that crosses over into character flaw if you ask me. Or a basic lack, thereof.

Anyway!

HAVE FUN SPREADING THIS AROUND TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND ENEMIES!

Cool?

Or just send them this link:

You guys can all click on that link and leave comments and thoughts there on the YouTube site.

If you're new around here, hit The Archives and take a look around. Lots of cool stuff goin' on around here. And, be sure to shoot me an email if you feel like it.

Okay, I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed for great weather this coming Saturday. I really wanna spend one more day with all of you... one more afternoon this year, doing what I was meant to do.

Thanks again for showin' up here today, thanks for a wonderful summer, thanks for last Saturday...

...and thanks again for yesterday.

Thanks.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
