Welcome to the website. "Hey" to all of you reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. Here in New York City... we're gettin' close to callin' it another great season. Maybe we'll squeeze a couple more weekends out of the weather to hang together in Central Park.

Check back here on Friday or Saturday morning to see if we'll head out there this coming Saturday afternoon.

Hey we've been havin' a lot of fun around here.

Listen, before we get into today's update I wanna let you know that this first video is gonna remain up here somewhere on this homepage until October 28th. That's the absolutely latest date for voter registration in this country. (Connecticut, I think.) But the deadline for some states is as early as... TODAY.

So, check the registration deadline in your state and pass this video around....

And then, tell your friends that someone named David... "That Guitar Man from Central Park", asked them to... um...

VOTE............ dammit!

Okay.

Hey... what a weekend! If you hung out with me in Central Park on Saturday - Thanks alot!

Great day! There are bunch of photos from this past Saturday that were sent into the site. Here: Click on this link to check out yesterday's update.

One thing, before anything else, I wanna start the week off with.

You guys know how I like to call American politicians on their shit.

Well, got this video sent in to me last week and I guess it seems Australians feel the same way about their politicians.

And here... from Central Park this past weekend, someone sent in a link to a YouTube video they posted of that woman, Cara, jumping in and helping me out with the Sarah Palin song.

I have to ask...

DID ANYBODY GET VIDEO OF THOSE COUPLES DANCING ON THE PATH LAST SATURDAY!? Or, was that one of those incredible New York City moments in time that will only be forever recorded in the hearts and memories of those who were there?

If video exists, let me know okay?

Speaking of which... over 4,000 people on YouTube have checked out that video and my little song about Sarah Palin.

Here's the original video!

"Don't Know Palin"

If you've been coming around here lately, you know we've been having a lot of fun around the choice of Sarah Palin to be John McCain's vice presidential running mate. (You can download the new song a little further down the page, and then pass it all around the internet.)

Like I said in the park yesterday... I'm a registered Independent and I'm not at all enamored with this Democratic bunch in Washington. (Bunch of Casper Milquetoasts!) But, if you're a Republican and you're not just fucking embarrassed at this point, then... Ha! I really don't even know what to say!

I rrreeeeeaaallllly want you guys to download this for yourselves, but then pass it on to several friends around the country, especially in those "swing states". (C'mon... this is New York. I know at least half of you have relatives in Florida!)

' Cause... after the last 8 years, if you're a Republican, or if you voted for George W. Bush, and you're not both embarrassed and ashamed.... then I reeeealllly have nothing to say!

Between now and November, try to get as may friends as you can to at least check out this site.... and even tell them to browse the "Archives"

And keep passing this FREE stuff all around the internet.

Okay...

Keep checkin' in here okay?

I'll be back all week with lots fun stuff.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
