Man! Just a beautiful day and so many cool things went down. I'm gonna try to get that video up here in this page as soon as possible. I want you all to be able to send the link to all your friends and family across the country and around the world... let them share in your day a little bit.
GOT SOME VIDEO FOR YOU TO WATCH AND SOME SONGS TO DOWNLOAD FOR FREE HERE TODAY. (Further down the page.)
I'll be back tomorrow with a FULL update about yesterday in the park.
But, today if you have a few minutes... I'd really like you to take a little time to read this page, watch a wonderful video commentary, and then email your thoughts and feelings to what you've read and seen.
Y'see, today I'm heading up to Yankees Stadium.

Yeah, that great guy from "The Hill" who I call David Yankee made sure I was able to grab a couple of tickets early in the season. So it's up to the Stadium, literally, for the last time.
Y'know? That old building and that patch of real estate have been such a fun and cool part of my life for so long. From the time I was a kid and had Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle baseball cards, through my high school days heading up there with Danny and Pete And Tommy, through my crazy, wild college-age drinking days with all the guys from the Meadow Dairy.... the memories.
And personally, I know it's just baseball, I know it's just a building.... concrete and steel... but it's meant so much to me in so many special ways over the past years of my life.
So, it's goodbye to Yankees Stadium today.
Now, I'm not one of those people who hangs onto "stuff". And, over the years I've become less and less afraid of change. (I feel that change is easy... Resisting change is a son-of-a-bitch!)
But, I'm not all that thrilled about the NEW Yankees Stadium for many reasons.
"We'd see it true
We're livin' through
A second Gilded Age... (look it up!!!) "
Well, my favorite journalist in America did a piece on this and how it ties into the phenomenon to which most Americans are oblivious as they watch American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

(sigh)
Okay.
Back to the music, the politics and other fun stuff. HERE IT IS! The new Sarah Palin parody, "Don't Know Palin"
If you've been coming around here lately, you know we've been having a lot of fun around the choice of Sarah Palin to be John McCain's vice presidential running mate. (You can download the new song a little further down the page, and then pass it all around the internet.)
Click on the image to download the song.
Y'know when I was down at Chris Lavin's apartment laying down the voice over parts, she suggested that a whole bunch of people might wanna start playing this on the radio... college radio stations, Air America and the like. (Air America has aired my tune "JesusLand" several times so I'm thinking she had a good point.) So, here's an FCC-friendly version for public airplay. I bleeped out one word - - (gasp!!!)
Whew!
Okay, here's the version for the rest of us.
And for you podcasters and bloggers who aren't encumbered by censorship.
I rrreeeeeaaallllly want you guys to download this for yourselves, but then pass it on to several friends around the country, especially in those "swing states". (C'mon... this is New York. I know at least half of you have relatives in Florida!)
Between now and November, try to get as may friends as you can to at least check out this site.... and even tell them to browse the "Archives"
And keep passing this FREE stuff all around the internet.
Okay...
If you're in NYC, hope I see you in the park.
Make sure to check in all week. I'll have some more video from yesterday in the park!!!!
Thanks for everything.
All outdoor events are weather permitting! Stop by the website before you go if it is questionable.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
