Damn!
Timing.
Welcome to everyone reading this in a different part of the country or a different part of the world. Hope you're havin' a great day. But man! The rain really picked another rough time to reach New York City. Got rained out again in Central Park this weekend.
.
We'll get out there next weekend. I don't know how many more we're gonna get in before it gets too cold.
BUT... if you're really jonesin' to hang out and share some music and laughs, I should let you know that I was invited again to sit in at the SGA Songwriters Circle down in the Village tomorrow night. (More about that a little further down the page.)
I love writing songs and singin' them for people.

Let me give a little something to check out here at the site today.
One of our friends from "The Hill" in Central Park named Steve sent this in. In yesterday's update he read my memories and thoughts about the passing of Paul Newman and he wanted to share this with me. (Thought you guys might get a kick out of it, too.)

Y'know, when actors do a play on Broadway they hafta supply PLAYBILL with a brief bio for the "Who's Who in the Cast" section. Steve went to see him in the revival of "Our Town". Obviously... Mr. Newman wrote this himself. (And, I wouldn't have expected anything less from an artist like him. He really "got it".)

Very cool.
Once again, today I'm probably gonna spend this rainy day workin' on a new song. If you're new around here, take a little time and have some fun browsing the "Archives" Between now and November, try to get as may friends as you can to at least check out this site. We'll have some fun saving the country!
Every week I try to make at least a few songs available as FREE downloads, so here they are.
Crazy on the Same Day
The Religion Song
City Song
Bill O'Reilly: The Legend of the Big Giant Head
Okay...
TOMORROW NIGHT! It's the SGA Songwriter's Circle on Bleecker Street in The Village. And, that gig is FREE as well. I get to share the stage with some of the finest songwriters in this town and some weeks we laugh as much as we sing. If you've ever been to one, you know what a cool hang it is. (I think I'm gonna run a brand new song past you guys with a fiddle player I just hooked up with... Chris Tedesco.) It's at The Red Lion and it's free... cranks up at 7:00
.
It's easy to get to. Just take the A, B, C, D, E or F Train to the West 4th Street Station. The Red Lion is on the corner of Bleecker & Thompson... right near there.
And like I said - it's FREE.
Alright, I'll be back here at the website tomorrow.
(Yeah, yeah... I know "alright" is not a word. But, I think it oughta be. In fact, maybe "oughta" oughta be. I've thought about that alot. Ah! Alot! There's another one! Okay... maybe not oughta. But...
Two words that definitely should be made into words, though, are definitely "alright" and "alot".
What am I talkin' about!!!
That's it. I'm outta here.
Maybe I'll see you at the Lion tomorrow night. And, I hope I'll get to see you in Central Park in one week.
Thanks for everything.
