NEW week! Got a lot of cool stuff around here this week!
FIRST, I hafta say THANKS to every single person who made it out to Central Park this past Saturday. Yeah, the weather wasn't perfect. but you guys braved the risk of rain and the rain held off all afternoon. and, it turned into a kind of remarkable day. (Hopefully, I'm gonna have video here on the site by tomorrow!)
In the meantime...
HAVE FUN SPREADING THIS AROUND TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND ENEMIES!
You guys can all click on that link and leave comments and thoughts there on the YouTube site.
Ha! I'm absolutely lovin' the idea that the Republican Party is gonna be the party of "Change"... that conservatives are going to be agents of "Change". In part, the very definition of the word conservative means resistant to change, maintaining existing institutions and conditions.
We live in very funny times... almost laughably bizarre. (Laughable except these folks are responsible for more American death than Osama Bin Laden.)
But, the word "maverick" sounds so gutsy, rugged, cool and... and... American, dammit!
I'm not gonna give up the gold until it;s a little further along. But, I think you guys are really gonna dig it. (I think even out Republican friends will be able to get their minds and hearts around the sentiment of this next one.)
AND... hopefully tomorrow I'm gonna post a video from this past Saturday that everyone on the planet will be able to love.
I hope.
Hey listen, if you're new around here you might wanna check out the "Gallery" that I posted here the other day. And, you might wanna go ahead and download a few more free songs.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
