Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day.

Good holiday here in the U.S. Good day to kick back and enjoy a day off.

For me, though, every day is a work day and every day is a vacation day. (I guess that's the way it feels when you love what you do for a living.)

Welcome to everyone who's reading this across the country and in different parts of the world.

Here in the United States, it's an Election Year. If you missed what I wrote about Barack Obama's acceptance speech, you can catch it in this update.

Now... I'm a registered Independent and someone who cares, but I'm beginning to watch this entire process with a more "removed" eye. I watch mostly with fascination these days, often with disbelief. Y'see, as an artist and a student of human nature, there's an awful lotta stuff to take in.

John McCain just announced his pick for the person who will run with him as his Vice President. My mouth has dropped open again. (Man! We live in a silly, silly country in so many ways.)

Most of the pundits and "news" personalities are talking about Sarah Palin in ways that are discouraging, infuriating, incredulous and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.

Okay, I'll get into this more this week. So, keep checking back. We'll have some fun.

I mean, Pat Buchannan (aka: Vacant Moron) just keeps referring to her as a beauty queen.

.

Y'know?

There's something about Joe Biden they really oughta know. (It's amazing the things you can find on the internet if you just do a little digging.) Senator Biden was actually the second runner-up in the Miss Scranton Pageant in 1967. (Of course the winner was pregnant and the runner-up had a mustache. But, he also won Miss Congeniality just like Palin.)

Oh by the way... were you out in Central Park this past Saturday? You're just gonna hafta check back because I hafta write a song or make a spoken word piece download-able here at the site this week about these two people who were hangin' out on "The Hill" this weekend. I got a little ornery and had some real fun screwing with them and nobody really know what was goin' on. (I have a slightly devilish side and it was actually kinda funny to me.)

But, check back.

And listen... realx. If you think you're someone who is going to vote for John McCain, I'd like to hear from you. I'll have a question for you guys tomorrow - - a question I haven't heard asked as of yet by one of these geniuses in the Democratic Party or on these "news" shows. So you can answer it, 'cause I actually really do appreciate and read every single email I response I get here at the website. (Just hit the "Contact" button up there. It's cool.)

Now, I know there are always people visiting here who have NO idea what I do! So, let me just start this update off again by making a few songs available as FREE downloads. Here are a few more...

CRAZY ON THE SAME DAY
WHERE'S THE VOICE
TOM CRUISE SCARES ME
JESUSLAND

And, if you're new... here's a Super Update from a couple of weeks ago with a full gallery toward the bottom of the page! Knock yourself out...

See you guys tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
