Welcome to the website! I have something I need to say to the whole world today. (Further down the page.) But first....

Tomorrow!

Man! Look at this weather here in NYC!!!

Hey welcome to everyone reading this across the country and in different parts of the world. But, here in New York City... Damn! Make plans to hang out with me in Central Park tomorrow!

Cool?

Okay, lotsa cool stuff goin' on around here. I'm working on 2 new songs and I might be able to run one of them by you tomorrow afternoon.

There's a video and FREE download of one of the more recent parodies a little further down this page.

And, BEFORE I GET TO WHAT I REALLY NEED TO SAY TODAY - would take 20 seconds to hit this link and answer one simple question?

QUESTION (For PBS)

.

But... okay. Politics is politics.

Issues are issues.

Reality is reality and facts are facts.

Sure, okay... McCain has revealed himself to be a double-speaking, mummbly-mouthed nightmare after a disgraceful and tragic 8 years of George W. Bush. As a registered and fiercely independent man politically, I watch CSPAN mostly but monitor the 3 major cable outlets. Speech after speech and interview after interview over the past two weeks, I see in McCain a pandering, billionaire fraud who, as most politicians, is driven by personal ambition more than any other force on earth. A man who is more out of touch with real life in America than most people can comprehend.

"Here in New Hooverville, Cindy and I bought 7 more just like it!"

These things are desperately important.

But... but...

But, I'm just gonna hafta go ahead and say it.

Nobody else has said it. Nobody else is going to say it.

.

IF I EVER HAD TO WAKE UP AND HEAR SARAH PALIN'S VOICE EVERY MORNING... I'D HAFTA SHOOT MYSELF IN THE HEAD!

.

Oh, sweet Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the Apostles, all their neighbors and their pets!!!

What a VOICE! This was a potential president of the United States speaking yesterday.

Seriously... damn! If I had to listen to that voice I'd shoot myself!

(whew!)

But, to listen to her speak... the things she speaks about... the way she speaks... if I was a Republican, I'd just be fuckin' embarrassed. (But then again... a lot of you aren't embarrassed by that frat-boy you've got in the Oval Office now, so maybe you don't embarrass that easily!

Feeling genuinely ashamed might be a better emotion, but that's for another day.

Okay... couple of days ago I posted the Sarah Palin video from YouTube and the video of Sid Bernstein singing in Central Park. (If you wanna check them out today, just click on this link.)

Here's the song as a FREE download. This version is for you free-thinkers, podcasters and bloggers who aren't encumbered by censorship.

I rrreeeeeaaallllly want you guys to download this for yourselves, but then pass it on to several friends around the country, especially in those "swing states". (C'mon... this is New York. I know at least half of you have relatives in Florida!)

Between now and November, try to get as may friends as you can to at least check out this site.... and even tell them to browse the "Archives"

And keep passing this FREE stuff all around the internet.

Okay... I'll see you out in Central Park tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
