Hey guys!

Really sorry I'm not gonna be able to see you in Central Park this weekend. The people in the Permit Office at The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, are withholding the Special Events Permit we applied for... again.

So, I won't be able to do what we do this Saturday. (Y'know? If there really is a legitimate event taking place in the exact spot that I play, I'd be happy to go out there on Sunday instead!)

I just don't get it. But... okay, it's cool.

Oh well, I'll try to keep this website a little bit interesting until we can get together again 2 Saturdays from now.

Just one quick thought and a little discovery I found I'd like to share with you guys.

Y'know how the McCain campaign has stooped to comparing an opposing presidential candidate to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears? (I mean... Karl Rove is a vicious classless spiritually bankrupt, vacant human being. But whoever put these ads together... UY! Just insulting to the percentage of Americans who actually "think".)

.

However... I just found something kinda wild.

However, I discovered there was actually an entire TV ad campaign designed to compare John McCain to a couple of female actresses; counterparts of the Senator's. But, it was pulled. I'm guessing it never aired... really only because...

...very few people remember the careers of Helen Hayes and Clara Bow.

HEY!!! Weather-permitting I'll be down on Pier 45 on Friday night in Hudson River Park for the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series. Maybe I'll see you there!

Y'know what?

At that event I played last Sunday... I got so caught up in just going with the flow of the music and the day that I completely forgot to play the new version of "Where'dat Money Go".

So, here it is again as a FREE download for all of you.

WHERE'DAT MONEY GO - '08

I know there are always people visiting here who have NO idea what I do! And like I always say, I know there are people reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. So, I very often like to make a few songs available as FREE downloads. Here are a few more...

CRAZY ON THE SAME DAY
WHERE'S THE VOICE
TOM CRUISE SCARES ME
JESUSLAND

Anyway... everybody, there's always a lot of cool stuff goin' on around here. I'm just makin' this shit up as I go along.. (Photoshop images, political cartoons, FREE songs to download.)

In fact... there was a Super Update a couple of weeks ago with a full gallery! Knock yourself out..

I hope you keep stopping by here every day. And if you dig this kinda thing, I hope you turn a few friends onto it as well. (If you don't like this kinda thing... um.. uh... how the hell did you get all the way to the bottom of this page!?)

The rest of you... keep in touch.

Thanks for everything.

All outdoor events are weather permitting! Stop by the website before you go if it is questionable.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
