Yes. Yes... I reeeealllyyy think the rain is gonna move through New York City late Friday night and early, early, early Saturday morning. So, I'm thinkin' we're gonna have a beautiful day out in Central Park on Saturday.

Welcome to everyone reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. Y'know... I get dozens and dozens of emails every week from people who live all over the place. Today, I wanna share a couple of photos from last Saturday sent in with a sweet message from Uli from Stuttgart, Germany.

Y'see... at any given moment YOU are someone's experience of this great town. I always like to keep that tucked in the back of my mind as I go about my day.

I'm heading up to Yankees Stadium today... UY! To watch the Yankees implode a little further.

One good thing about this sloppy, ugly, injury-ridden season... thanks to a great guy from "The Hill" in Central Park (Who I call David Yankee) I'm actually heading up there on September 21 for the very last game ever to be played in that Stadium. It has been such a great part of my life and such a great part of New York City for 85 years... and the way it looks now, there ain't gonna be any playoff games or World Series games this year. So, yeah... that'll be the very last game played there.

TONIGHT... I have a little gig over at H.I. New York Performance Hall. (Sorry, this one isn't open to the public.) But, afterward I'm gonna head right home to listen to Senator Obama's acceptance speech.

(I was asked to sing TOM CRUISE SCARES ME at the DNC Convention a couple of nights ago, and the new verse about John McCain went over... pretty well, I think.)

Hey listen... I'm still trying to figure out the video problems I've been having. Can't seem to find an easy "fix" on this one.

But I have an idea that I'm gonna try today, just to keep my promise about getting some video of you guys in Central Park here on the site so that you can tell your friends to visit this site and share in the coolness.

Also... I told you guys about an idea I had about doing an internet-video concert to have a "Conversation with the Swing States" about the upcoming election in November.

So, you can imagine how surprised I was when... well...

I was speechless when this guy showed up in the park last Saturday. And, breathless when he said he wanted to sing. (And incredulous when he took his shirt off.) But, what the hell. He wanted to sing "Bomb Iran" but I wouldn't let him. I told him the jokes he repeatedly makes about killing Iranian people aren't funny, and that the thought of him in the Oval Office is about as scary as it gets. So instead, he sang a medley of ABBA hits. That was weird... but safer.

This man is a nightmare. We have work to do.

(sigh)

I know there are always people visiting here who have NO idea what I do!
