I'll be right back.

Listen, I know you guys are used to me updating this thing... pretty much every day for the most part. And I'll be right back. (Even though I very often cut and paste stuff, I always try to give you something new every day.)

I'm just a little tired right now. Had a gig last night waaaaayyy out in Amagansett on Long Island in a very cool venue callled The Stephen Talkhouse. Had a great time, but I didn't get back into town until very early this morning.

So, I'll be back.

First... once again I hafta say welcome to everyone reading this in different parts of the country and around the world. And, And, if you were here in New York City and got to hang out with me in Central Park this past Saturday... THANKS AGAIN!

Listen, I know I promised you some video from this past weekend. It will be here really soon. I've posted dozens of videos of you guys here over the past few years and it's really cool, because you can let all your friends and family around the world share in the day you had in Central Park in some small way. But, I started to work on it yesterday and the damnedest thing happen. somehow the transfer isn't happening from the camera to Quicktime to imovie so I can't load it up on Mevio to let you guys watch it! (Sounds a little convoluted, I know. It's just a long-winded way of saying it's either a little fucked up right now or I just don't know what I'm doing!)

Damn!

But, what an amazing time we had on Saturday.

Music business legends, people from all across the country and different parts of the world all singin' together, laughing together... whew!

Okay... let me keep the feeling going by giving something away right now to anyone who's new around here! Here's a FREE download.

CRAZY ON THE SAME DAY

Now, listen... I told you guys about an idea I had about doing an internet-video concert to have a "Conversation with the Swing States" about the upcoming election in November.

So, you can imagine how surprised I was when... well...

I was speechless when this guy showed up in the park last Saturday. And, breathless when he said he wanted to sing. (And incredulous when he took his shirt off.) But, what the hell. He wanted to sing "Bomb Iran" but I wouldn't let him. I told him the jokes he repeatedly makes about killing Iranian people aren't funny, and that the thought of him in the Oval Office is about as scary as it gets. So instead, he sang a medley of ABBA hits. That was weird... but safer.

This man is a nightmare. We have work to do.

(sigh)

Oh, one last thing... of course weather-permitting, I'll see the below-14th Street-crowd on Pier 45 in The Village for the next installment of the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series on Friday night.

.
"Sunset on the Hudson" - Friday night from 7:00 - 9:00 on Pier 45 in The Village.

Cool.

I know there are always people visiting here who have NO idea what I do!

So, I very often like to make a few songs available as FREE downloads. Here are a few more...

CRAZY ON THE SAME DAY
WHERE'S THE VOICE
TOM CRUISE SCARES ME
JESUSLAND

Anyway... everybody, there's always a lot of cool stuff goin' on around here. I'm just makin' this shit up as I go along.. (Photoshop images, political cartoons, FREE songs to download.)

In fact... there was a Super Update a couple of weeks ago with a full gallery! Knock yourself out..

I hope you keep stopping by here every day. And if you dig this kinda thing, I hope you turn a few friends onto it as well. (If you don't like this kinda thing... um.. uh... how the hell did you get all the way to the bottom of this page!?)

The rest of you... keep in touch.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
