Hey listen... welcome to the website. Welcome to everyone reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world.

Here in New York City.... don't give up hope for this weekend.

The people in the Permit Office at The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, are withholding the Special Events Permit we applied for... again.

But our good friend (Sid Bernstein) told me that he was gonna make a few phone calls and see if we can head out to "The Hill" this Sunday. (That would be soooooo cool. Because Sid's birthday is coming up next week and we'd be able to make Sunday a special day in Central Park for him.) I'll let you guys know as soon as I know if Sid has any luck. Then, maybe we'll be at The Hill" on Sunday instead of Saturday.

Even if we can't get out to Central Park this weekend... TOMORROW NIGHT!

I'll see you on Pier 45 for "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series. (It feels so funny calling it a concert series. It's just you guys and me and my guitar every Friday night.) But, I've really enjoyed it this year, and we'll do it again tonight at 7:00 in Hudson River Park.

.

Okay... short update today.

Keep your fingers crossed for Sid's attempts to get us out to the park on Sunday.

Like I said, check back here and I'll let you know as soon as I know how he makes out.

Anyway... everybody, there's always a lot of cool stuff goin' on around here. I'm just makin' this shit up as I go along.. (Photoshop images, political cartoons, FREE songs to download.)

In fact... there was a Super Update a couple of weeks ago with a full gallery! Knock yourself out..

I hope you keep stopping by here every day. And if you dig this kinda thing, I hope you turn a few friends onto it as well. (If you don't like this kinda thing... um.. uh... how the hell did you get all the way to the bottom of this page!?)

The rest of you... keep in touch.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
