Hey... hope I see you out in Central Park this weekend. (Sure, last week's permit situation was a bummer. But let's get past it, cross our fingers for the same kind of weather we had here in New York last Saturday, and look forward to this coming Saturday afternoon.)

I think we might actually celebrate a birthday out on "The Hill" this weekend. Might actually be kinda cool. So if you're not doin' anything else, make plans to grab a few friends and hang out with me.

HEY!!!

Keep checking back here! Because just yesterday...

I HAD ANOTHER IDEA!!!

You're gonna hafta check back, but I can tell you this... it has to do with putting up a concert that would be broadcast on the internet to other specific states in this country. I'm thinking I wanna get my good friend and colleague Christine Lavin to collaborate on it. It will have a specific purpose and be a shitload of fun... but... um... I'm already saying too much.

Check back.

On another note, I also think we'll kinda celebrate Sid's birthday in the park this weekend. Y'think? Maybe a cake, some music and a few laughs. (A little bit more about Sid Bernstein in yesterday's update. And, I also came up with a way for YOU to wish him a Happy Birthday too, no matter where in the world you are!)

WELCOME to everyone reading this across the country and in different parts of the world. (If you dig this stuff I sincerely hope you're turning your friends onto it as well.)

I just smile. I think that it's soooooo cool! The world is getting to be a very small campus! Maybe someday we all begin to realize that "it's just us" all living here on this tiny blue speck in the eternity of space.... or whatever!

So, I very often like to make a few songs available as FREE downloads. Here are a few more.

CRAZY ON THE SAME DAY
THE RELIGION SONG
WHERE'S THE VOICE
TOM CRUISE SCARES ME
JESUSLAND

Okay... outta here.

Keep your fingers crossed for some GREAT weather this Saturday. I have a feeling it's gonna be a typically amazing day out there.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
