Sorry about the late update...

...or the "no-update-yet".

I'll be back to tell you guys all about the Obama event I played in Central Park yesterday.

Yeah. As I received in several emails last night, the operative word was... "bummer".

So sorry about Saturday. I was sure it was a total washout... and then I wound up doing something else and was not able to pull the trigger to head to the park around 3 in the afternoon. (Maybe I should have.) We probably coulda gotten in a few hours during that beautiful afternoon that snuck in.

Damn!

And, then this coming Saturday the Permit Office at the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation is NOT issuing the permit I applied for. (This is the first summer since 2001 they seem to be arbitrarily withholding our Special Events permits.)

Bummer... again.

Oh well. Here's a pretty cool thing.

I know there are always people visiting here who have NO idea what I do! And like I always say, I know there are people reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world.

Well... Thursday night I was playing a little barbecue gig at H.I. New York Performance Hall... which is located at Hostelling Internationals most beautiful youth hostel.

After the my set, a young guy from Denmark comes up to me and says, "That song you played, that one about Tom Cruise being scary... did you write that?"

I, of course... y'know... admitted that I did. And, he said, "Oh man! Me and my friends in Denmark love that song. Did you know there's a video of that song on YouTube!?"

I just started laughing. I think that is soooooo fucking cool! The world is getting to be a very small campus!
