Hey!!!

NOT TODAY!!!! We've been canceled!

The Bon Jovi Concert is shutting down the park!

So... TOMORROW! I'LL SEE YOU TOMORROW!!!

So, so sorry for the late notice. The Parks Department called me at 4:35 yesterday afternoon to tell me that the NYPD was shutting us down.

WE'VE BEEN CANCELED!!!

Seriously, the park is gonna be closed today between 72nd Street and 96th Street. The people at the Parks Department wanted to move us to another part of the park today. But, I figured that NOBODY would be able to find it. The park is gonna be insane. So look, it's a beautiful summer weekend and so... most of the really annoying people have gone to The Hamptons! That leaves Central Park for all of us to hang out in the shade of the trees to share some music and laughs.... TOMORROW. (Sunday)

Oh well. I guess... it's just Life on Life's terms. Just gotta go with it. Instead of gettin' pissed off... we'll just show up on Sunday.

But, if you go by the hill and you see another singer/songwriter at "The Hill" let me know! He can have the Great Lawn. "The Hill" is ours!

(I just hope Jon writes a quick email to my landlord explaining what happened.)

Come to think of it, I hope he writes a letter to all the couples whose weddings are being moved from Hernshead today and all the other permitted events that have to be canceled or moved. (I'm glad I wasn't the one who had to make those phone calls today! Imagine telling a bride the day before that her wedding is being moved to a different part of the park!?)

Tomorrow, I'll be out there in the park all afternoon like I have been for... um... a whole lotta years. And after last week's rain-out... and today's cancellation... man! It's gonna feel good to get back out to "The Hill" with a guitar on my shoulder - and all of you.

Damn! This year has not been a smooth year for us in the park. Between the Permit Office reneging on the agreement I made with Administrator Doug Blonsky years ago... and now this!

Uy!

Well, at least we've got the first annual backyard picnic music festival, featuring Cassie Kubinski, Karlus Trapp, Ivy Vale & Rick Reil (of The Grip Weeds and The Wyld Olde Souls)

... yeah, it's the "Upper West Music Fest" comin' up a week from today.

By the way... THE RAIN-DATE IS THE FOLLOWING DAY. (SUNDAY, JULY 20) So, go ahead and get your tickets soon. (More about that further down the page.)

AND... for all our friends out in BROOKLYN! A last minute invitation to be a part of the "Ripple Music Festival" in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

THIS COMING MONDAY NIGHT!!! July 14th!

For information click on the banner

If you're in Brooklyn and you're one of those people who's always emailing me and telling me I oughta play some more gigs in your borough.... Hope to see you there this Monday night! It's gonna be fun!

OKAY!!!

COMING UP A WEEK FROM TODAY!

Our first backyard picnic and music festival - - on July 19th!

"UPPER WEST MUSIC FEST"

Seriously, it's gonna be a ridiculously fun afternoon of great music! But, if this thing doesn't get a great turnout, I'm afraid the powers that be at this wonderful new venue will lose their enthusiasm for the "possibilities" I have in mind for this place... outdoors AND inside the Music Hall this winter. So... grab some friends and make plans to be there!!!

Listen, you can put your name on the entrance list right here, right now... TODAY here at the website! (A little further down this page) And, this gig is ONLY $10 for a whole afternoon of music!!!

Like I said, it's a great lineup of artists. (NOT just me for a change!!!)

2 of my favorites who I've introduced to you guys at different events and venues are gonne be there. The amazing KARLUS TRAPP and the beautiful and talented young singer/songwriter CASSANDRA KUBINSKI.

.
Click on their photos to visit their websites.

And, we're also gonna be joined by a couple of fine artists I was just introduced to... 2 people who have real 60s vibe goin' on... Ivy Vale & Rick Reil (of The Grip Weeds and The Wyld Olde Souls)

You'll be able to bring a picnic blanket, food, cold drinks... hang out and listen to a lineup of wonderful, really fun artists all afternoon. (Bring a bunch of friends and bring a little something extra to share with your fellow music lovers. Or, if you want... come by yourself and make new friends.

Saturday afternoon, July 19th (12:00 - 5:00)

The backyard grounds of H.I. New York Performance Hall

.

Call a bunch of friends and get your tickets today!!! Of course this thing will be general admission, just gonna find a place to put your picnic blanket, and the whole afternoon of music is only $10. Here's the link to get your name put on the list at the gate:

.

Go ahead... call a few friends and put your name on the list! If it rains, we'll turn right around and do it the following day!!!

Sound good?

Cool.

Anyway... everybody, go ahead and click on this link to hit the "Archive" page". There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. (Photoshop images, political cartoons, FREE songs to download.)

In fact... there was a Super Update a couple of weeks ago with a full gallery! Knock yourself out..

I hope you keep stopping by here every day. And if you dig this kinda thing, I hope you turn a few friends onto it as well.

Keep in touch.

Thanks for everything.
