Hey! TOMORROW it looks like we're gonna be back in Central Park... hangin' together, doin' what we've been ding for a long time, now.

Sharing music and laughs in the middle of the greatest city on the planet.

I'm gonna crank up a the usual time tomorrow, around 1:00, and play until I fall over. (Y'know, like always.)

For those of you in the "below-14th-Street-crowd" - TONIGHT I'm gonna be playing the Sunset on the Hudson concert series. I'll put my guitar on my shoulder at 7:00 and play the Sun down until around 9:00.

I'm there almost every Friday night this summer.

(Even tonight... FRIDAY the 13TH!)

Y'know? I've really missed playing at "The Hill" in Central Park for the past few weeks. (Permit Office troubles! Don't even ask!) But, tomorrow's lookin' good. hope you can make it out. Y'know, I say his all the time... if somebody described to me what I do out there, I probably wouldn't go.

But, something really cool happens every week. The people are great. The feeling is extraordinary. And... y'never know who might show up.

(Kidding, of course. But, wouldn't that be kinda cool.)

Hope I see you guys tonight or tomorrow. I mean, as a "possibility-junkie" I'm always looking forward to the possibility of tomorrow. And hopefully, I've learned something from the experience of yesterday that remains in my mind and in my heart. It's all cool.

Good news is I got started writing again. This is a very interesting time in human history. (Like there is ever a time that isn't - when we're really paying attention!!!) Got a new video posted here today, further down the page, that you might wanna take a look at!

I've said this often... art is very often a tool. It's most often a "mirror" to help reflect the world around us. But sometimes, it's also a "hammer" that helps shape the world around us.

You young guns out there! You singer/songwriters under 30 years old!

Here's a free download for you.

Where's the Voice

GET TO WORK!

(And, if you're NOT a songwriter, but happen to know any songwriters who might wanna hear this song's message, pass it along to them today, okay? Then have them send me their tracks. I'm thinking about a new project.)

It'll be fun!

Hey! Y'know... I'm the guy who wrote "Crazy on the Same Day" - "The Perfect Girl for Me" - "Singin' in Central Park"

... and lots of other songs that'll hopefully make you smile. I'm more excited than ever to be a "possibility-junkie".

Okay, time to get back to work. Besides writing songs and giving you guys some free downloads here at the site, I wanna also make it a little bit easier for all of us to "pay attention". (Everybody's lives are so busy!) So, I wanna do something a little different this summer.

And that includes this!!!

I'm gonna see if I can start posting some things that you might be interested in seeing. (PLEASE take a few minutes each day to pay attention, okay?) I'm also looking forward to receiving your email-reactions to this kinda thing. I'll post some of your replies and comments here at the site like we did in the early days of thatguitarman.com

Y'see... I say this all the time. I work out of my home. I update this website from here. I write songs at home. I produce concerts and events from here. but, that means I get to watch a lot of CSPAN. Y'know? That way... I'm a lucky man. I get to see what's really going on without relying on the silly, silly circus that network and cable news has become.

Here's a video of Senator Sheldon Whitehouse. (I'm becoming so impressed with this man.)

Then... let me know what you think and how you feel.

Cool?

I'll see you guys at one of the venues this weekend!

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
