I feel kinda good that I finally, finally reached a place in my life where I know with certainty that there is nothing else but... this moment.
I mean, as a "possibility-junkie" I'm always looking forward to the possibility of tomorrow. And hopefully, I've learned something from the experience of yesterday that remains in my mind and in my heart. But as for Life, there only is...
That being said... I really hope I see all of you who are here in town out in Central Park this coming Saturday. (Yes... I've got the permits in my hand!)
So, let's head out there and hang out together!
And, for the south of 14th Street crowd... yeah. Tomorrow night (Friday) I'll be on the Pier at the end of Christopher Street (Pier 54) for the "Sunset on the Hudson" concert series. (7:00 - 9:00)
Man! I love making music!
Okay... wait a minute. Let's do this again.
I've said this often... art is very often a tool. It's most often a "mirror" to help reflect the world around us. But sometimes, it's also a "hammer" that helps shape the world around us.
I gotta get writing again. This is a very interesting time in human history. (Like there is ever a time that isn't - when we're really paying attention!!!)Got a new video posted here today, further down the page, that you might wanna take a look at!
Hey... you young guns out there! You singer/songwriters under 30 years old!
(And, if you're NOT a songwriter, but happen to know any songwriters who might wanna hear this song's message, pass it along to them today, okay? Then have them send me their tracks. I'm thinking about a new project.)
It'll be fun!
Hey! Y'know... I'm the guy who wrote "Crazy on the Same Day" - "The Perfect Girl for Me" - "Singin' in Central Park"
... and lots of other songs that'll hopefully make you smile.
But, I also wanna give you guys a couple of free downloads again today to start setting the energy for the rest of this season. I can honestly say.... I'm more excited than ever to be a "possibility-junkie".
And, another new one. (This one is still an unfinished work-in-progress)

HEY! I'm already getting GREAT reactions to this idea. People are sending me comments and video-links from all across the country.
Get in on it! We'll make it cool-to-care again! Besides writing songs and giving you guys some free downloads here at the site, I wanna also make it a little bit easier for all of us to "pay attention". (Everybody's lives are so busy!) So, I wanna do something a little different this summer.
I'm gonna see if I can keep posting some things that you might be interested in seeing. (PLEASE take a few minutes each day to pay attention, okay?) I'm also looking forward to receiving your email-reactions to this kinda thing. I'll post some of your replies and comments here at the site like we did in the early days of thatguitarman.com
Y'see... I say this all the time. I work out of my home. I update this website from here. I write songs at home. I produce concerts and events from here. but, that means I get to watch a lot of CSPAN. Y'know? That way... I'm a lucky man. I get to see what's really going on without relying on the silly, silly circus that network and cable news has become.
Here's a video of Senator Sheldon Whitehouse. (I'm becoming so impressed with this man.)

Then... let me know what you think and how you feel.
Cool?
I'll see you guys in the park this Saturday!
Thanks for everything.
All outdoor events are weather permitting! Stop by the website before you go if it is questionable.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
