Miss you. Can't wait to take you to lunch back up here in New York!
Okay... Now, for everybody else.
Were you out there in Central Park with me yesterday?
We had a half of a really, really great day sharing music and a few laughs. Yeah sure, it was about a million degrees. But, that music and the people were cool. Then...
Holy shit!
Did I get caught in that downpour!!! (Shoulda taken off when my first impulse told me to.)
But, nooooooooo!
.
I GOT SOAKED!
And as I said yesterday... if your mother ever told you that the most dangerous place to stand in a lightning storm is in an open field or under a tree...
...she lied to you.
I think the most dangerous place might be standing by a lake in front of a live microphone.
Now, when the rain really came... I hustled all my stuff in that driving rain across Central Park West to the underground driveway beneath The Museum of Natural History to ride it out. The storms were pretty spectacular by that time and there were a few dozen tourists from all across the country and around the world trapped down there with me.
Because my day in the park got cut short, I didn't have a chance to throw the Kudos Granola Bars to the crowd like I usually do. So...
...everybody under the museum got a snack while we waited for the rain to stop. (Just another really great "New York Moment" for me.)
Kinda cool.
Okay... gonna bring you all some more video and some free music downloads this week. But for right now, here's a re-post of something from yesterday.
I've said this often... art is very often a tool. It's most often a "mirror" to help reflect the world around us. But sometimes, it's also a "hammer" that helps shape the world around us.
You young guns out there! You singer/songwriters under 30 years old!
(And, if you're NOT a songwriter, but happen to know any songwriters who might wanna hear this song's message, pass it along to them today, okay? Then have them send me their tracks. I'm thinking about a new project.)
It'll be fun!
Hey! Y'know... I'm the guy who wrote "Crazy on the Same Day" - "The Perfect Girl for Me" - "Singin' in Central Park"
... and lots of other songs that'll hopefully make you smile. I'm more excited than ever to be a "possibility-junkie".
Okay, HERE'S TODAY'S VIDEO I PROMISED.
Besides writing songs and giving you guys some free downloads here at the site, I wanna also make it a little bit easier for all of us to "pay attention". (Everybody's lives are so busy!) So, I wanna do something a little different this summer.
And that includes this!!!
I'm gonna see if I can start posting some things that you might be interested in seeing. (PLEASE take a few minutes each day to pay attention, okay?) I'm also looking forward to receiving your email-reactions to this kinda thing. I'll post some of your replies and comments here at the site like we did in the early days of thatguitarman.com
Y'see... I say this all the time. I work out of my home. I update this website from here. I write songs at home. I produce concerts and events from here. But, that means I get to watch a lot of CSPAN. Y'know? The real thing.
BUT, this comment was actually from a cable "news" show. (It's in 2 parts)

Then... let me know what you think and how you feel.
Cool?
Hope I see you out there in Central Park in one week!
Thanks for everything.
Inside for the winter!
