Okay! In one minute, we'll get back to our regularly scheduled program.
(I'll tell you guys all about he concert this Saturday night! We're gonna have a blast, just like we do in Central Park every weekend.)
But, first I wanted to share a couple of free song downloads with you. I want you all to have a couple of song to listen to and pass around for FREE. (Click on the links to listen, to download, to pass around.)
Y'see today is a sad anniversary. (Bobby Kennedy was actually shot a little after midnight and died on June 6th. But, I think today is regarded as a day to commemorate because this was his last day here.)
I wanted to take a moment today because... well, like I said in one of my recent songs:
'Cause there's always one more lesson to be learned
Another pearl of wisdom to be found.
And, the hope to do a little bit better
And maybe get it right... next time around.
After you watch in a couple of videos, the songs are yours for free. Please take just a moment right now to pass THIS LINK around to some of your friends today. And then I'll see you all here in New York City on Saturday night. We'll share some music, some laughs... that "It's just us" feeling.

LET'S GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME AROUND!
.
NOW!
Here are the songs:
Please feel free to download them and put them in your ipods. Feel free to share them with your friends, okay? FEEL FREE!
And pass the link to this page around to everyone you know today... especially people you think might just not "get it". After all, maybe they need to be included even more.
Now, about this Saturday night... y'see, this is one of those ridiculous weekends when the woman who runs the permit office is not going to issue us a permit to hang in the park like we have for so many wonderful years. (Damn!)
But, the GOOD news is... this concert is gonna be a blast. Dodger (Roger Bartlett) is gonna sit in once again. Janet Kirker and David Marcus are gonna share the stage with me again. And I'm gonna get to introduce you all to a new young singer/songwriter I think you're gonna love.
Julie Kathryn
We're gonna have a great time!
By the way...
WE JUST ADDED SOME EXTRA SEATS!!!
So I'm thinking that you can either reserve some seats right now by clicking on this link...
...or, you'll probably just be able to show up about a half hour before showtime and buy seats right at the door that night. (We'll see what happens after the email blast.)
But, either way. DON'T GET SOLD OUT OF THIS ONE! Seating at H.I.N.Y. is general admission and ALL the seats are only $20. (Reserving seats this way puts your name and the number of seats on the list at the door that night. All you hafta do is SHOW UP!)
SATURDAY NIGHT, June 7th - 8:00
I already have a sense that the feeling in that concert hall is gonna be something typically special. I hope you call a few friends this week and make the decision to show up at this thing.
NOW, if you wanna check out some VIDEO from the very, very first concerts in that brand new venue, BEFORE we had a real sound system or lights or anything else... I mean, just to get a feel for what these things are like... here you go!
First up is the lovely and talented Janet Kirker joining me for the very first time on a song from the "Common Ground" album.
Janet singing "Did You Fall in Love Again"
And, these are several other clips form the gig. Enjoy 'em. Click on these images to watch the videos. The first one contains the brand new verse in song that won't go away.... "Tom Cruise Scares Me". (It's dedicated to John McCain.)
Cruise... with the new McCain verse
. "Crazy on the Same Day"... and a great song to close out the night... "This Moment"
IF YOU'RE NEW AROUND HERE... go ahead and click on this link to hit the "Archive" page". There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. (Photoshop images, political cartoons, FREE songs to download. A whole bunch of podcasts to catch up on.)
Knock yourself out. Also... I wanna give you one more FREE download of a... well, maybe one of the more socially-minded or socially conscious songs I've done recently. (It's a work-in-progress, okay?)
Click on the image to listen.
Okay... well, short update today. But now, I hafta get to work doing what I'm supposed to do... writing songs that - -
Comfort the disturbed and... disturb the comfortable.
Hope I see you in 3 days.
Thanks for everything.
