What a day!!!
(Yeah. Today is beautiful, too. But, I'm really talkin' about yesterday out in Central Park!)
If you came out there to hang out with me, once again I hafta say....
THANK YOU!

If you were out there you might met Sid Bernstein who was hangin' out with us again. (Yeah, that amazing man who changed American music forever.) You also might have met some new friends. You also might have caught our surprise guest who got up and sang "Keep Hope Alive" with all of us.

Nah... but it woulda been cool.
I hope you took home the information about the upcoming JUNE CONCERT! I hope you call a few friends this week and make the decision to show up at this thing. The tickets for the JUNE CONCERT started to sell this week. Y'know, I'll explain the reason this Saturday Night Concert Series came about, and why your attendance at these things is gonna be so important to me.
I'm really lookin' forward to the next "indoor" gig at H.I. New York Performance Hall. My special guest this time is a young singer/songwriter who I think you guys are gonna fall in love with... again. Like you did with Galia Arad at the last concert. Her name is Julie Kathryn.
Anyway, the tickets went on sale a few weeks ago and just this week they're starting to sell.
So if you wanna reserve your seats now, you can do it by just clicking this link. (Reserving seats this way puts your name and the number of seats on the list at the door that night. All you hafta do is SHOW UP!)
DON'T GET SOLD OUT OF THIS ONE! Seating at H.I.N.Y. is general admission and ALL the seats are only $20.
SATURDAY NIGHT, June 7th - 8:00
Roger Bartlett will be there, and Janet Kirker and Dave Marcus. And hopefully YOU. It's actually only about 3 weeks away!

This brand new music venue is also really easy to get to from, like EVERYWHERE in the city. The #1 train stops at 103rd Street. And, the C & B lines also stop at 103 on Central Park West.

ABOUT SID BERNSTEIN!
I have a good friend.
His name is Sid.
Okay, if you've been coming to this site you know that I always have some very special guests on stage with me at my concerts, right?
Well, Sid is almost always in the audience. And, he's wanted to be involved somehow in all the gigs I'm doing. He's living an amazing life. Seriously. He's done so much to make this world a better place it's just amazing and he keeps dreaming new dreams. (That's one reason he wanted to put his name on this new concert series at H.I. New York Performance Hall.)
But, for the few of you who don't know... Sid changed American music history forever when he introduced The Beatles to America.
.
.
Besides that, he brought The Rolling Stones here... ABBA... countless others. He also played such a huge and underrated role in breaking the racial barriers down in this country by being the first promoter to book white and black acts on the same rock 'n roll bill. (He also made James Brown the very first rock n soul act in Madison Square Garden.) He discovered and managed The Rascals. He's also been humbly on the front lines of political activism from the rise of the Nazis, to the current corruption of the American government, from the civil rights movement to the recent assault on The Constitution... he speaks with presidential candidates and people who have no voice. And he has always spoken out where and when there's been a need. Over his lifetime, he's been some amazing places with some amazing people. (Anyway... you just hafta read his book.)
So, Sid has been a promoter, a producer, a manager, an activist for Truth and Reason... he's been immersed in the music business his whole, long life. But he's never played one note. And, he's never written a song.
Until now.
Listen... not that long ago, Sid left a message on my voice mail that became the inspiration and hook-lyric for a brand new song. So, I wrote it... and this is what I did! I recorded a rough demo... a scratch track of this song for you to listen to right now so that you can get your mind and your heart around the song. IT'S NOT FINISHED!!! Some of the lyrics still need work. But you can get the idea. THEN, when you show up at the next gig in June, you'll be able to sing it loud and let it rip with everyone else!
Cool?
Here... click on this logo to learn the song.

OKAY... JUST GOTTA SAY - - THANKS AGAIN!

NOW, I'm outta here.
See you back here tomorrow.
