Okay, today!

If you're not already holding your ticket for the new interview/music series this Friday night... "WHAT'S BEHIND THE SONG" ... you can reserve a seat right now by clicking on the button right here!

All the seats are just $10. (This is gonna be a really fun event that I'm sure you're gonna wanna be a part of. Today is not the day I can talk about it much, though. So, click on this link to learn more about it, or come back tomorrow.)

But TODAY... I HAVE SOMETHING REALLY IMPORTANT TO SAY!!!

Better sit down. Better read the entire update.

Listen... if you've been coming around here for a while, you know what I've always been all about. But I'm here to tell you today!!!

I've seen the light!!!

As a registered Independent my whole life, I've been through so much. I've written so many songs. I've spoken out harshly and vehemently about George W. Bush and against the war in Iraq. I've written critical songs about Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter.

But, I'm here to talk you today... I've gone through a tremendous change.

I've had a kind of an awakening.

I've listened to the arguments put forth by those on the conservative right and I've decided enough is enough. And so... I've always felt it is essential to happiness to admit the one's inner Truth. I'm tired of living a lie. I'm tired of denying the transformation that's been taking place inside me over the past few years. I've decided to come out of the closet and admit who I am... the man that I've become.

Today marks the day I need to tell you all something!!! I've grown tired of fighting. I've grown tired of speaking out and thinking independently. I just feel it's gonna be easier to follow like a sheep rather than think independently. I've found there's a certain, inherent serenity in abandoning all autonomy and reason. And so...

Today I will register with the Republican Party!!!

I am going to support John McCain in the upcoming election because I now believe the war in Iraq to be just and the will of God. I feel that one's attitude should be "My Country Right or Wrong" - "America: Love It or Leave It"

I AM NOW AND FOREVER...

A CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIAN RIGHT REPUBLICAN STRAIGHT WHITE AMERICAN MALE

And as of today... I love this guy

.

.

.

And if you're at all confused...

.

.

Oh, for the love of all that's holy and good!!!

Look at the date!

See you tomorrow with a dose of REALITY!

Gotcha?

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
