Man!
Spring's havin' a tough time of it here in New York City this week. 44 degrees when I woke up this morning. Here... let me post a few photos to help it along.

And, I keep looking at the radar over the country to see if we're gonna have an "opening day" out in Central Park this weekend. I'm hoping that this Saturday will be the first day back out at "The Hill".

But for the life of me, I can't tell. Because of the nature of what I do, I've been watching the satellite imagery for the past 17 years like a damned farmer! I've gotten pretty good at predicting. But, this week... not a clue.
Oh well, We'll see.
Listen... I've been havin' a little bit of a tough time of it in various aspects of my life recently. But, it'll all even out and make sense as it always does. (Just not able to dedicate the energy I always have to the podcasts and this homepage that I usually do.)
So, with apologies to those of you in this city, across the country and in different parts of the world who check in here every day... here's another re-posting of the previous update.
(I'll get back on the horse soon.)
*******
I say how lucky I am all the time. But, it's really been hitting me in the heart lately.
You can't believe how grateful I am to be called "That Guitar Man from Central Park". And, it's really all because of you. Y'know? It's you guys who visit this website regularly, who reach out and let me know if a song I've written has touched you in some way, who've let me know it's a worthwhile thing to do with a life - to write songs and head out to the park - to strap my guitar onto my shoulder and hang with you in the middle of the greatest city in the world - share some music, some thoughts, some laughs.
Sometimes I get a little squirrely.
Y'know? I guess a certain level of ego or discontentment rises up inside me. I begin to doubt my work. I question my purpose as an artist. I wonder if I'm destined somehow to wallow in poverty and relative professional obscurity for a lifetime. I get weary
But, then... Ha! I realize that's absolute bullshit.
I'm the luckiest man alive.
This is gonna be another typically amazing summer.
What I'm trying to say... again... is THANKS.

Okay!
Listen, I'm in a really "present and alive" mood right now. I wanna give you guys some FREE downloads of a couple of songs I'm working on. Y'know... works-in-progress. AND, a couple of the more socially-minded or socially conscious songs I've done recently. (Click on the link and they're yours, okay?

Hey!!! I was thinking. One of these days really soon I'm gonna roll out a "Best Of" gallery of all the political cartoons and photoshop images from this site over the past few years. (I've had a lot of fun doing them.)
Check back for that.

Oh yeah! And check back for the new concert dates! We're planning a number of really cool musical events over at H.I. New York Performance Hall, as well. In fact, early this week I'll be announcing the next date for he next BIG concert event we'll do in that brand new venue. It might even be an outdoor event in their block-long backyard! (More about that really soon.)
