Okay! The concert at H.I. New York Performance Hall this past weekend was just another typically amazing night for me. If you were there...

THANKS AGAIN!

I know some video was shot. I'm gonna see what I can do to post some clips from that show here at the site for anyone who couldn't make it. Gala Arad, Christine Lavin... man! Janet, Dave, Barbara, all the "People from the Hill"...

What a great time we all had!

Now, it's to quickly, quickly shift gears and move on to the next really cool thing. This coming Friday night we're going to inaugurate the new interview series for singer/songwriters and independent artists of all kinds... "WHAT'S BEHIND THE SONG?"

Now, before I get into it, GOOGLE the name - Jake Holmes. (Or, just click this link.)

THIS COMING FRIDAY NIGHT!!!

"What's Behind the Song" is gonna be a fun, irreverent, loose, informative, discussion show about the mystery of the Creative process... all around music, the people who make music and the people who's lives are largely about music!

If you want to show up for this thing and you're not already holding a ticket, you can still reserve a place. It's gonna be in the same place we had the concert...

.
H.I New York Performance Hall - Amsterdam Ave @ 103rd Street

My first guest is a great guy and a wonderful songwriter with a really interesting career.... Jake Holmes.

Okay now... the doors will open at 7:00 and he show will kick off at 7:30. This will be a "pilot" of sorts for th series. It will be recorded and the series of hows will either be shopped to a network or streamed independently over the internet. (That way all of you who visit this website from different parts off the country and different parts of the world can also be a part of this.

IF YOU'RE IN THE AUDIENCE THIS FRIDAY, YOU'RE ALREADY GONNA BE PART OF THE SHOW! There will be a segment of the show where you, the audience, will be able to ask questions and make comments.... and if you're a fellow artist, a chance to share your own experiences and take on songwriting.

It's gonna be cool.

Here... stop screwing around. If you're not already holding a ticket and you think you definitely wanna be in the audience, reserve a seat right here. ALL seats are only $10 - in advance and at the door.

CLICK ON THAT BUTTON UP THERE ON THE TOP-RIGHT OF THIS PAGE!

Okay... I gotta get back to work.

I'll be back really soon with a new podcast - playing a whole bunch of YOUR phone calls and comments.

If you're in or around NYC, hope I see you Friday night for this special kick-off event.

Thanks for everything

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
