Welcome to the very, very cold website today.

Yeah, about 10 degrees when I woke up this morning. A far, far cry from the warm summer afternoons we spend together in Central Park.

I have a little running around to do today. But, I'm gonna try to get at least one new podcast up a little later. In the meantime if you're new here, the most recent shows are a little further down the page.

Hey! By the way... keep your collective fingers crossed. Hope the NYC Parks Department doesn't give us a hard time about playing out there every Saturday afternoon. I put all the applications in yesterday. And... well, don't wanna say too much or be negative. But, I just have a... let's just say, a "feeling" right now. Hope it works out the way it has for 16 years, now.

But, never mind that!!!!

Today is Iowa Caucus Day!!!

CAUCUS: ('ko'- kus) - A viscid slippery secretion that is usually rich in political absurdity and is produced by caucus membranes which it moistens and protects. Semi-annually afflicting populations in mid-western North America.

I'm gonna try my best to watch as much of it as I can on CSPAN. (Without blather and moronic commentary by the talking heads of cable and network news.) It's a blast. It's one of the most bizarre ways to pick a political nominee you can imagine.

One of the people to keep an eye on... over on the Republican side, is "Blessed Mike of God"... the Jesus candidate!

After another execution it's back in the race for Mike!

Okay! Listen... I gotta get back to work. Here are the most recent podcasts. I'll be back very, very soon with VIDEO FROM THE YEAR-END CONCERT!!!!

(If you were there, you'll get a kick out of seeing some of it again. What a great night!)

Okay...

Here are the 2 most recent podcasts today!

I've said this often. This website and the podcasts are kind of an extension of what I do during the warm weather here in the greatest city on earth. In the summer I get to share my music with people from all across the country and all around the world just by being "That Guitar Man from Central Park".

This winter and spring I've got plans to do some more "indoor" concerts here in town. This past year I was lucky enough to meet many more really beautiful, creative, open-minded people to enhance this growing circle of friends and artists, and that makes 2008 something to be really excited about.

Y'know, after you listen to the shows today I'll give you a couple of phone numbers you can use... just to day "Hi" and let us know who you are and where you are.

First up... on today's ILTC I'm gonna be playing a couple of clips from the "Year-End Concert" we had here in New York City last week.

And on "Where's the Voice" I'm gonna be inviting you all to call in and voice YOUR opinions and feelings. We'll go out with a few laughs and a couple of good doses of Truth and Reason heading into a presidential election year. It's gonna be wild ride and we'll make sure your voice is heard around here! (Especially if you're an artist writing music that actually SAYS SOMETHING!)

So, let's start out with the original podcast... "I Love the Company" (Show #353)

Just click on the logo, plug in your headphones, jam in your earbuds or turn on your speakers and listen.(You can always subscribe to the show and get it automatically by hitting that itunes button over there.)

SHOW 353

Musical guests on today's show: A woman from Boston who've I played before - Danielle Miragila. (Click on her photo to visit her website, find out more about her, where she's playing, and how to get her music.)

Okay, let's move on to this week's WTV. I'm answering some of your phone calls and playing a couple of really great tracks that actually have something to say about what's going on in this country. (Damn! I'm still thirsty for more music like this. Hell... that's why the show is called "WHERE'S the Voice"!)

Anyway, just click on the logo, plug in your headphones, jam in your earbuds or turn on your speakers and listen.(You can always subscribe to the show and get it automatically by hitting that itunes button over there.)

WTV-025

Musical guest on today's WTV: Jake Holmes (Click on his photo to visit his website, find out more about him, where he's playing, and how to get his music.)

OKAY... HERE THEY ARE!!!

Here are the phone numbers so you can get in on this!

Seriously... don't just think about it. Pick up the phone and say "Hey"! Use these numbers to call either show - to voice an opinion or tell me I'm full of shit on WTV, or just to make comments and requests for ILTC.

Starting now - this year, have fun. Start calling the show if you have any thoughts or feelings or wishes or sentiments for the new lap around the Sun in 08.... or any thoughts you wanna share with people here in New York City, across the country or around the world. Use these phone numbers:

Anywhere in North America:

646-224-8162

Internationally:

+44 845 280 6622

Cool.

Okay... it's gonna be a little slow around here to start of the new year. I have a bunch of stuff to do and I'm heading out of town for the 3rd week of this month. But, stick around all year and check in often. Because we're gonna have some fun and do some Good and I want YOU to be part of it.

I'll just leave you right now with a few stills from the gig last week. Click on the thumbnail to view the larger image.

. . . .

See you soon.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
