Okay... well, it's Saturday! "The Weekend Show" (podcast) is up on "I Love the Company" today. And, I'm gonna be in Central Park this weekend, but NOT like I usually am.

This is a special weekend.
I'm gonna do a gig for The Tug McGraw Foundation tomorrow at 5:00. (More about that in a minute.)
But, first I hafta put my guitar on my shoulder, stretch, lace up my running shoes and get out there to run the 2007 ING New York City Marathon!!!

The guitar makes it tougher.
Um, no.
I ran one marathon in my life. I ran it really, really well... and I will never run another!!!!!!
26.2 miles
No.
The next marathon I enter will be a Dozing Marathon. That's one I'm in training for now. I start out my dozing 2 or 3 hours a day. Then work my way up to about 8 hours or 10 hours a day. My goal is to be able to sleep for the entire 26.2 hours.
It takes dedication. But, I think I can do it.
But, tomorrow there are some really good, dedicated people who are running the NYC Marathon for The Tug McGraw Foundation. And, they've asked me to be the musical guest at their victory party in The Central Park Boathouse. The purpose is to raise money for the fight against brain cancer, and to help those who are in the fight.... especially the young ones.

So, here are 2 ways to help out.
If you want to actually come to the gig at The Boathouse, click on this poster...

If you just wanna support the runners and do a good, good thing with a few bucks, you can click on this banner to donate whatever you want. Their goal is $200,000 and their getting close!

This foundation was established by Tug McGraw in 2003 to raise funds to enhance the quality of life of children and adults with brain tumors and their families by stimulating and facilitating research that addresses the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual impact of the disease.
It would mean lot to me to see you there! "The People on the Hill"... represented at such a cool and worthy event.
After that, the next time I'll probably get to hang out with you is at "The Year End concert" on December 17th. (It's a Monday Night.) I mean, we had a great season in Central Park this year, hah?
And, now it's time to move it indoors!!!
Listen, next week I'm gonna send out another big email blast about the "Year-End Concert". So... here's a heads-up just for you if you're reading this homepage today.
