Sure wasn't any doubt yesterday that the outdoor season in Central Park is over! I mean, I woke up and it was 45 degrees, cloudy and windy. Time to start thinkin' about "The Year-End Concert" here in New York City. It's comin' up in December. (More about that in a minute.)

But, the weather's better today for the NYC Marathon!

GOOD LUCK, RUNNERS!

.
I'll be right out there with you! (Um... in spirit.)

No. Actually, I'm gonna be waiting for a bunch of you over at The Central Park Boathouse. I was asked to be the musical guest at the victory party for the runners who are raising money for The Tug McGraw Foundation's fight against brain cancer.

The party kicks off at 5:00 today. these people do amazing work in helping people deal with this disease... especially the young ones.

So, here are 2 ways YOU can help out.

If you want to actually come to the gig at The Boathouse, click on this poster...

If you just wanna support the runners and do a good, good thing with a few bucks, you can click on this banner to donate whatever you want. Their goal is $200,000 and their getting close!

This foundation was established by Tug McGraw in 2003 to raise funds to enhance the quality of life of children and adults with brain tumors and their families by stimulating and facilitating research that addresses the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual impact of the disease.

It would mean lot to me to see you there! "The People on the Hill"... represented at such a cool and worthy event.

It would also mean a lot to me to see you all at "The Year-End Concert"!!!

Believe it or not, it's only 6 weeks from tomorrow night! Listen, this coming week I'm gonna send out another big email blast about the "Year-End Concert". So... here's a heads-up just for you if you're reading this homepage today.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
