Welcome to the website.
Man! I love having this website and the podcasts to keep in touch with all of the good people I've gotten to share my music with over the past summer season, and over the past 16 years in Central Park.

Very cool.
And... (If you know me at all) ...you know that I love living in this town. Got a yearly tradition coming up in about 5 weeks. "The Year-End Concert". Had a great meeting with Cassie Kubinski yesterday. Talkin' about some of the stuff we might do at this year's "Year-End Concert" on December 17th. (More about that gig later this weekend!)

(More about that in a minute.) But, another tradition is starting to take shape for another season here in town. - the tree arrived at Rockefeller Center this week.
.
I'm just glad they still don't light the thing until November 28th, nearly a full week after Thanksgiving.
I mean... in this country we have laws against cruel and unusual punishment. (Of course, don't tell George Bush, Dick Cheney, and most of the people running for the Republican nomination.) ... but, we still do.
Now when I was a kid, the 4 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas were a time of intensely quite anxiety and unbearable anticipation. It was FOREVER!!!
"Mom, when is Christmas gonna get here!?"
"In 3 weeks, DJ."
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!"
No, I'm sorry. When commercials start running and Starbucks coffee cups are decorated for Christmas and Walmart puts up it's Christmas displays to make a buck the week after Halloween... for the kids of this nation... yeah. THAT constitutes cruel and unusual punishment.

Why do grownups forget?
(sigh)
Anyway.... got "The Weekend Show" here on "I Love the Company" and this weekend I'm working on the new installment of "Where's the Voice". I'm getting a whole bunch of really interesting and fun comments and requests on the phone lines these days. This coming week, I'll play a bunch of them on the show.
Right now... just click on the logo, plug in your headphones, jam in your earbuds or turn on your speakers and listen.(You can always subscribe to the show and get it automatically by hitting that itunes button over there.)

SHOW 341
Musical guests on today's ILTC: Um... y'ou're not gonna believe it. I think this is a first. Oh, I'm not even gonna tell you who the musical guest is.
.

But, enough of that guy!
On the sister podcast to ILTC, I'm gettin' back to playing some of your phone calls on a new episode of "Where's the Voice". Musically, we'll get into the whole apathy-in-America question. (I'd love some suggestions from you guys about what different topics we should address, too.)
So... let's get right to the new installment of the more politically-minded and socially conscious podcast, "WHERE'S THE VOICE"! Just click on the logo, plug in your headphones, jam in your earbuds or turn on your speakers and listen.(You can always subscribe to the show and get it automatically by hitting that itunes button over there.)
