Hey! I told you guys yesterday that I'm kinda slammin' busy this week!

So, let me apologize in advance for repeating yesterday's update!

Y'know? Being That Guitar Man from Central Park, I say this all the time. "One day in my life very rarely resembles the day before."

Oh, man! That's true this week. Got a lot to tell you about. Our "Year-End Concert" is comin' up in less than 5 weeks and tickets have gone on sale! (Further down the page.)

I also told you guys I'm in the middle of doing this week-long workshop gig that fell out of the blue from a lovely woman who's been coming to "The Hill" this summer. Turns out, she's a casting director and a project came across her desk she thought I'd be good for. So I auditioned, got the job, and now I'm in the studio working with a bunch of great guys and real pros all this week. I even got to call my buddy Dodger (Roger Bartlett) in on the gig so we're working together. Very cool. I'm so makin' this life up as I go along!

But, a few days ago I also got a series of emails and calls from my friend and colleague, Chris Lavin, asking me to sit in on Cast Party which she hosted Monday night. Turns out she needed me to back up another singer who wanted to do a rendition of Simon & Garfunkel's - Mrs. Robinson. I think all this came about because one of the guys you all know from WFUV, Pete Fornatale, was gonna be there with a book he's just written.

.

You can check out the book here... it's called "Simon & Garfunkel's Bookend's".

Anyway, went down there Monday night after rehearsal... and, had a blast.

I'm wiped. But, I'm so diggin' all the stuff that's goin' on. I'll tell you all about all of it on the next edition of "I Love the Company".

But, y'know what? Today I'll tell you how to get tickets for "The Year-End Concert", both on the podcast and further down the page.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
