Oh man!

Listen, I LOVE being "That Guitar Man from Central Park". Because I love this town. And, I really loved hangin' out in the park without my guitar yesterday - just diggin' listening other musicians sharin' the Love. (Getting ahead of myself....)

You have GOT to check back tomorrow! Because yesterday was John Lennon's birthday and I was asked by Sid Bernstein to meet him at the spontaneous gathering that always takes place in the part of Central Park named Strawberry Fields.

I brought the video camera that I have on loan from webmaster, James Marino.

If you don't live in this amazing town, or even if you do, you'll get just a little idea why I LOVE this TOWN so much!!!

. . .

Before that... once again, this past weekend I shot a little more video of you guys and it's here again today. If you're in the clip, tell all your friends and invite them to be a part of all this. (Click on this image to watch the video from this past weekend.)

Later this week I'll have a clip of the guest appearance by singer/songwriter, Mark Aaron James.

Got some FREE downloads for you guys further down the page. And, right ow... here's the most recent episode of the original podcast, "I Love the Company" Just click on the logo, plug in your headphones, jam in your earbuds or turn on your speakers and listen.(You can always subscribe to the show and get it automatically by hitting that itunes button over there.)

NOW, I wanna tell you guys about something wonderful that I was asked to be a part of.

Y'know, one of the really cool things about doing what I do is that often I get asked to strap my guitar on my shoulder for a really, really Good reason. In a few weeks, I won't be playing at "The Hill" in Central Park" because it's NYC MARATHON SUNDAY. But, I was asked by the Tug McGraw Foundation to be the musical guest at their party for Team McGraw at The Central Park Boathouse that afternoon.

YOU CAN BE A PART OF IT AS WELL!!!

Listen... if you can afford it, I would consider it a personal favor if you guys would buy a ticket and show up for this thing. These people do such amazing work for such a good cause.

This foundation was established by Tug McGraw in 2003 to raise funds to enhance the quality of life of children and adults with brain tumors and their families by stimulating and facilitating research that addresses the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual impact of the disease. I'll tell you more about this event on ILTC today.

THE YEAR-END CONCERT

I'm already starting to get excited thinking about the change of seasons in this town and the annual "Year-End Concert" when we get together in December. I'll tell you a little more about that on the podcast today. This year, it's at a new concert venue. (Merkin Concert Hall is being renovated) But, the date is already solid... Monday Night, December 17th. I'll let you know when the tickets are gonna go on sale.

End of the year, we just move it indoors.

Okay... here's the usual handful of FREE songs for you guys. Let me know what you think of 'em.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
