Well... sorry about yesterday.

(But, there's a lot of cool stuff for you today. "The Weekend Show" is the latest episode of the podcast, "I Love the Company".)

For those of you here in New York City.... I'm sorry. Yeah, I know the weather was lookin' a little shaky yesterday. But, it was really kind of irrelevant.

Now, you guys know how highly I speak of the NYC Parks Department, Central Park and New York City. (Some people have even gone as far as to call me an "ambassador" for the park!) The Central Park Administration does a great, great job. But this week, I couldn't get our Special Events Permit from the Permit Department for sharing music at "The Hill" .

Don't get all bent out of shape. I don't. I just roll with this kinda thing. But, we weren't issued the permit for this weekend and that's that.

Why?

(I honestly don't know. Y'hafta ask them.)

But, no big deal. Stay cool. We'll be back next weekend, weather-permitting. In the meantime, check out "The Weekend Show".... for EVERYBODY! (Playing a bunch of your phone calls and comments... playing a couple of cool tracks... havin' a good time lovin' the company.) It's show #290. Click on this logo, plug in your headphones or turn on your speakers and listen.

(You can always subscribe to the show and get it
automatically by hitting that itunes button over there.)

Musical guests on today's show: My pal and fine songwriterDavid Abbinanti. (Click on his photo to visit his website, find out more about him, where he's playing, and how to get his music.)

There are also 2 videos from the park here today. Now, last weekend we had a typically wonderful day in Central Park and I asked a bunch of you to say "Hey" to friends of yours who are far away from New York City. So, you did and I put some of you in this video!. (In fact there have been new videos from Central Park up here all week. Go back in the "Archives" and check 'em out.)

But, right now click on this image and watch "Hellos & Kudos"!

And, then check a few guys sayin' "Hey" to a good friend who's in the hospital right now and can't make it to "The Hill".

I'm gonna be back this week with an all-new edition of "Where's the Voice". But for right now, you can also check out the most recent installment of the more politically-minded and socially-spirited show. I've got a couple of great tracks from independent artists out of Philadelphia and California. And, I'm playing a brand new verse in the song "Tom Cruise Scares Me" LIVE - dedicated to the Democrats in Congress... that bunch of disgraceful Caspar Milquetoasts!

Go ahead. Click on this logo.

Musical guests on WTV: Geri Smith, Eric Schwartz

(Click on their photos to visit their websites and find out more about them and their music.)

.

And, just for the hell of it, one mo' time, here's a link so you can all download that internet-hit of mine. It's not the most recent version, but you get the idea.

Tom Cruise Scares Me

NOW!!!

Here are the phone numbers so YOU can be a part of this, too.

Don't wimp out. Just pick up the phone and leave a message for me. I'll play 'em (if they're not too personal) on either ILTC or WTV.

Here are the numbers:

Anywhere in North America:

In Europe:

If you call for "Where's the Voice" or ILTC, I will play your comments right on the show. BE HEARD.

Here in New York City... I'll see you in Central Park next weekend. I'll see everybody else here tomorrow with a new week of podcasts and music.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
