Hey, thanks again for showin' up at the website today.

Last night... if you were in New York City and you didn't make it down to The Red Lion, you missed a really, really good songwriter's circle. And, if you were there... THANKS FOR SHOWIN' UP THERE, too. What an amazing Songwriter's Circle we had. Seriously... what a special night on stage with George Wurzbach, Skip Brevis, Tom Chapin and David Buskin.

Very, very cool. (If you were there... call the podcast later and leave a review!)

Hope I see everyone who's in or around The Big Apple out in Central Park this coming Saturday!

For everyone else who's stopping by and checkin' in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world, there is another new episode of "I Love the Company" here today. (Every day this week, actually.)

Y'know, there are 2 podcasts here most of the time and there are 2 here today. The original podcast is called "I Love the Company". (The brand new episode is show #292. Click on this logo, plug in your headphones, jam in your earbuds or turn on your speakers and listen.)

(You can always subscribe to the show and get it
automatically by hitting that itunes button over there.)

Musical guest on today's show: A regular on the show, a really talented colleague, and a friend - Christine Lavin. (Click on her photo to visit her website, find out more about her, where she's playing, and how to get her music.)

She's got a song that has to do with The New York Yankees, The Boston Red Sox, Tommy Smothers, Derek Jeter, Cracker Jacks, a yoyo, a woman named Flo, some Japanese guy and... well, just listen to the song.

THEN call one of these numbers to be a part of the show. (Or, just to leave a message or a comment for me.) Here are the numbers:

Anywhere in North America:

646-224-8162

In Europe:

+44 845 280 6622

Okay!

This past weekend and all last week here at the website I posted the video that I promised you. (In fact the videos of you guys in Central Park are all still here. Go back in the "Archives" and check 'em out.)

Today you can also check out the most recent edition of the more politically-minded and socially-spirited show... "Where's the Voice". This week's subject is ventriloquism, or cronyism, or corruption, or treason or... um... or Alberto Gonzales.

Go ahead. Click on this logo.

Then, call one of those phone numbers to leave a comment. (I've received a bunch of phone comments about "Where's the Voice" so I'm gonna do a special show just featuring your phone calls. And, very soon, your calls will be interactive as well. Keep checking back, okay?)

Here's a little cartoon I did a while back of today's special guest:

That's it for now.

I'm gonna check out some video that I took while having a little brunch with, music business legend, Sid Bernstein the other day. If the sound quality is good enough, I'll put that up here, too.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
