Yeah, man! The concert is ON! This coming SUNDAY afternoon. (Might be a really cool way to wrap up the weekend... a concert on a Sunday afternoon!)
Here at the website today there is an all-new episode of the podcast, "I Love the Company" on which I'll be talkin' all about the upcoming concert of the same name!
This gig to celebrate the arrival of the new album! (Told you we were thinkin' about doin' somethin' like this at "The Hill" last Saturday.) By the way, if you were out in the park this past Saturday.... THANKS AGAIN!
So listen... yeah, you can just show up a little early at the theater the day of the concert. EVERY seat is only 10 bucks!
But... YOU CAN GET TICKETS RIGHT NOW TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GET SOLD OUT OF THIS GIG. (There are only 230 seats in the beautiful JCC Theater where we'll hang this coming Sunday afternoon.)
All you hafta do is click on this link or the button over there on the right, order as many tickets as you want, and then show up at the concert. Someone will be at the door with your name on a list and your tickets in hand.
Cool?
Y'see, for the first time in I don't know how long, we didn't get a Special Events Permit for Saturday afternoon. So... NO MUSIC in the park this weekend. No hangin' out! No talkin' about the brand new album! Yeah, I know there are people coming in from out-of-town to hang out at "the Hill". All kindsa great stuff. But, Claudia Pepe over at The Parks Department told me that they have outdoor weddings booked back-to-back-to-back in the Ladies Pavilion right near where I play. So, I can't get our Special Events Permit for next weekend. (Not her fault. She was really sympathetic about the whole thing and will try to make sure we can hang the rest of the summer. As usual, it's all cool.)
BUT... as it turns out, the new CD will be available for the first time here at the website!!! So, I got to thinkin'! Why not do a SUNDAY AFTERNOON indoor concert to celebrate the release of the CD!!!
IT'S A VERY LAST-MINUTE THING! SO, GET TICKETS FOR THIS THING! THERE ARE ONLY 230 SEATS IN THIS BRAND NEW, BEAUTIFUL THEATER RIGHT AT THE CORNER OF 76TH AND AMSTERDAM IN THE JCC.
And, we'll have the new album there so you can take one.... or a dozen home with you!!!
Anyway, hope you guys can call a few friends and plan to spend a summer afternoon in a beautiful air-conditioned theater to hang, have a few laughs and share the music from the brand new CD!

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
