Okay... I promise 5 new shows this week!!!
And, I will be talking about PodcampNYC . And, yes... we are talking about BIG changes around here, like splitting the podcast into 2 Podcasts. I'm just thinking that "I Love the Company" will remain strictly about music, the people who make music and the people who love music. And, the "Weekly Wake-Up Call" might morph into it's own show called "Where's the Voice". (Y'know? Kind of a weekly search for the young guns, the young and older songwriters who are writing songs, poignant, powerful or funny, that reflect what's goin' on in the world today.
But, right now I've GOT to run downtown and back into the studio with Dodger right now to wrap that song about "The Big Giant Head"!
So, here's a repost of yesterday's update.... and then I'll be back with a new episode of "I Love the Company". If by some chance I don't get the show up today... it'll be up tomorrow for sure!
Thanks for hangin' out!

Okay, I don't know where in the country you are or where in the wolrd you're reading this, but it's freezing in New York City. But, dammit... I was told Spring is here and so I'm heading out to Central Park again for another season with you guys, starting the first week of May.

We start again on May 5th
In the meantime... well, we went to PodcampNYC yesterday. (James Marino, Lovely Lisa and myself.) We met my buddy, Brent Burnett, over there briefly. (But, he was in and outta there faster than Kaiser Soeze!)

This week on "I Love the Company" I'll definitely be sharing a seriously fun but honest look at a something I had very, very mixed feelings about... my experience at Podcamp, as well as where I'm at after doing over 236 episodes of a daily podcast.
Right now... if you feel like it, the "Weekend Show" is still up. You can click on the logo to listen to it right now, or download it to check it out whenever you want. (In fact, you can always subscribe to the show and get it automatically by hitting that itunes button over there.)

Two beautiful and talented musical guests this weekend: Beth Thornley and Cassie Kubinski. (Click on their photo to visit their websites, find out more about their music, where they're playing, and how to get their music.)
.
More about PODCAMP in a minute.
But, for right now I just wanna tell you to check back early this week for another FREE download. Last night, Dodger (Roger Bartlett) and I took a run at my new song about one of the biggest assholes in America today. I think we'll have it ready for you guys to pass around the internet in a day or two. Click on this photo to hear a clip of the very first scratch vocal I sent Dodger to get the ball rolling.

Bill O'Reilly. "The Big Giant Head".
Okay.... Podcamp.
Um, it was good to finally shake hands with Joe Carpenter from Podshow. (Have yet to hook up with Adam Curry.) Joe's a good guy.

We sat for a while with Joe and talked about things... y'know? I'll get into that this week on the show.
Also sat in on a talk with the CEO of a company called Podango. He's a guy named Lee Gibbons who's got that "It's Just Us" kinda vibe about him... and that same kinda passion in his manner that most of the friends in my Creative circle have. Listening to him talk conceptually and casually about podcasting was one of the good moments of the whole thang.

Listen, I'll be back with a new ILTC every day this week.... more music, more laughs and more about Podcamp.
if you're new around here, go back through the "Archives" and check out some other shows. All 236 are still here for you to download.
Here are the phone numbers for you guys to call the show and leave a message for me, or a comment, or make a request, or express an opinion... or to give a shout to me or any of the artists you hear on the podcast.
Anywhere in North America:
646-224-8162
In Europe:
+44 845 280 6622
I'm also actually asking any of you to introduce one of the episodes of ILTC. All you hafta do is leave a brief message, saying who you are and where you live and then introduce the show any way you want. You can also call in with any comments, or opinions, or requests you have.... anything at all that you wanna say about the show "I Love the Company" or anything at all.
See you guys back here next time.
D'oh!!! And, oh yeah...
I wanna let you all know that the Central Park Permit Fund for '07 is continuing. (Could really use everybody's help with that effort. You can click on any of these links or the PayPal button over there on the right, under The Weather section.) It also helps keep the podcast going strong every weekday. Damn! It's turned into a full time job, keepin' it goin'!
See you back here every day next week. Bring a few friends around. "I Love the Company"!
Thanks a lot.
