Welcome to another day. One day closer to May 5th and starting another season with all of you in Central Park. Do you believe it, man! This is the beginning of our 16th summer together out there.

Hey listen, LAST NIGHT if you were over at The Red Lion... thanks so much for hangin' out. That was a very cool hang. And on today's episode of "I Love the Company", I'm playing some of the stuff that went on in The Songwriter's Circle. (Ain't technology a kick in the head!) Also on today's show I'm gonna play something new from a singer/songwriter that I just started playing on the podcast recently... Jodi Shaw.

Now, THIS THURSDAY NIGHT... I think I'm goin' with my good, good friend Sid Bernstein to meet with Senator Bill Bradley. (A man I have always admired and would love to see run for president again.) Senator Bradley's got a new book out and I'm gonna see if he'd say a few words about it on the podcast soon.

So, go ahead. Click on this logo and listen to today's show. (#229)

One of the special musical guests on today's show was sittin' in last night: George Wurzbach. Also, like I said I'm playin' a track from Jodi Shaw. (Click on their photo to visit their websites, find out more about their music, where they're playing, and how to get their music.)

.

Also... remember, tomorrow is the "Weekly Wake Up Call".

I decided to hold off until I can get the Bill O'Reilly song where I want it to be. (And, like I said... I'm reaching out to Al Franken for a little help on the lyric. Haven't heard anything back yet. I'll keep you posted.)

By the way, I'm still getting a lot of reaction, both email and phone calls from you guys, about last week's "Wake-Up Call"... particularly the poem by Rudyard Kipling and the John Prine tune, Sam Stone. Click on this logo if you missed it, okay?

.

Okay... I gotta get back to the studio with Dodge. We have a new album to bring you guys this year... hopefully in about a month or two.

Keep checking back for updates about gigs around town between now and then.

Cool?

Oh yeah! Here are the phone numbers for you guys to call the show and leave a message for me, or a comment, or opinion... or to give a shout to any of the artists you hear on the podcast.

Anywhere in North America:

646-224-8162

In Europe:

+44 845 280 6622

I'm also actually asking any of you to introduce one of the episodes of ILTC. All you hafta do is leave a brief message, saying who you are and where you live and then introduce the show any way you want. You can also call in with any comments, or opinions, or requests you have.... anything at all that you wanna say about the show "I Love the Company" or anything at all.

See you guys back here next time.

D'oh!!! And, oh yeah...

I wanna let you all know that the Central Park Permit Fund for '07 is continuing. (Could really use everybody's help with that effort. You can click on any of these links or the PayPal button over there on the right, under The Weather section.) It also helps keep the podcast going strong every weekday. Damn! It's turned into a full time job, keepin' it goin'!

See you back here tomorrow and every day next week. Bring a few friends around. "I Love the Company"!

Thanks a lot.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
