Okay! So it's FREEEEEZING again in New York City. But, we're switching to Daylight Savings Time early this year... this weekend, right? That'll make it feel like we're getting closer to those warm afternoons at "The Hill" in Central Park, anyway.

It'll get here soon enough.

In the meantime, got a brand new episode of "I Love the Company" up today. It's a show I think you're gonna enjoy. A little bit all over the place but kinda cool. Y'see... I always write lyrics that are pretty straight-forward, conversational and literal. (Might be the Broadway influence. Who knows?) But, I really enjoy lyrics that are more poetic. So, I'm sharing some tracks from a couple of other artists... on whom I am lucky enough to call a friend.

Click on this logo to listen to today's show. (#214) Just turn on your speakers, or plug in your headphones and click.

Special musical guests on today's show: Jodi Shaw and Sam Leopold. (Click on their photo to visit their websites, find out more about their music, where they're playing, and how to get their music.)

.

ALSO... on today's show I'm gonna share a little taste of what it was ie t play that private house-concert over in Jersey this past Sunday night... just to give you a feel for that kinda thing.

Okay listen... I know a lot of you are reading this in different parts of the country and the world... but, here in NYC, we had a taste of a little Spring-like weather on Saturday. Felt like we'll be heading out to the park to begin another season on "The Hill" sooner than you'd think. (It really cranks up again on May 5th. that's the date of my first permit. Gotta keep it legal, now.) If you wanna help out with the cost of the permits, the granola bars, batteries and whatnot, and to help keep "I Love the Company" coming to you every weekday, you can still make a donation by clicking on this link. (Thanks to everyone who's already thrown a few dollars. I'll be sending more personal emails soon.)

Now tomorrow I'll be back with another "Weekly Wake-Up Call". If you wanna call in and give me a topic to discuss, or wanna make a comment or voice an opinion, go ahead and pick up the phone.

In fact you might get inspired by listening to last week's "Wake-Up Call". Click on this photo to hear it. The show really goes to town about George W. Bush, religion and hypocrisy. (Knock yourself out!)

.

Okay, see you back here tomorrow. Gotta head into the studio with "Dodger" today to crank out the next album to be released this Spring.

Thanks for hangin' out.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
