HEY!!!
Finally here.... show #200!
But first... I know people are reading this in other countries. But, today is actually Abraham Lincoln's birthday, and here in the States we used to commemorate it.

I really dislike the fact that they smushed this day in with every other man that every occupied the Oval Office and called it "President's Day". (Next Monday). Imagine, a pygmy like G W Bush being considered in the same breath with a giant who spoke these among so many powerful words:
"We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature."
The better angels of our nature.
I quote that man all the time.
Maybe I'll do a wake-up call on that inauguration speech. We'll see. But, today, it's just about ILTC hitting 200.
Decided to make show #200... all about "the company". You guys! Just fun. Just... well, y'know... "it's just us". The show's up on this website right now for you to listen to.
The thing is... life goes by one day at a time, and these shows are done one at a time.
Just wanna get some music out to you guys today and then a new show everyday this week. Gotta get back into the groove. Gotta get back to the "Weekly Wake-Up Call". But, mostly, gotta get into the studio with Dodger to record the newest collection of songs. And, gotta plan a couple of live performances here in New York City. (That's what I miss the most. Hangin' out and sharing music with you guys.)

But, anyway. Yeah listen.... the Lovely Lisa is doing the show with me today. she said she couldn't miss this little milestone. (I'm jazzed that she enjoys this kinda thang.)

Just click on this logo to check it out right now.

It's phone-call-heavy and that's a good thing! All this week we'll be playing more of your phone calls and comments, so keep 'em comin'.
And, yeah... the song-writing sessions are gonna pick back up right away as well as the "Weekly Wake-Up Calls". Mark Aaron James, Cassie, Jason, Dodger... hope you're all paying attention.
We're back!
On a completely different note, if you live in the NYC area... thanks to the several people who already sent a donation to the "Central Park Permit Fund" of '07. (I will be sending you individual emails in the next couple of days.) I could really use it and really, really appreciate it. Believe it or not, the NYC Parks Department already needed the money for this year's Special Events Permits. Actually, they already took the money for the first round of permits out of my account. (The $45 Sound Device Permits from the NYPD are next.)
So, yeah you can click on this link to help out if you feel like it, with PayPal or Amazon. (But, PayPal doesn't take as much as Amazon.)
Also... no matter where in the country or where in the world you live, we here at "That Guitar Man" (meaning me) are accepting donations to keep the podcast "I Love the Company" going until we can get a few sponsors behind the show. (Kinda like PBS or NPR, y'know?)
Please give whatever you can, okay? I figure all together out in Central Park, granola bars and occasional hot dogs included, it takes about $100 to get out there for each Saturday afternoon. And, podcasting really has become kind of a full-time job.
Wanna help out?
Cool.
But listen, if you can't... don't sweat it. I know what it's like to be poor. Hell, I'm poor right now! But, money is irrelevant to happiness. I'd much rather have you enjoying the music than worryin' about the money.
Thanks for everything. Be right back with the first of another 200 shows.
